H1B Dropbox Experience - Help Needed

I had submitted my documents for Dropbox Processing on January 3rd in New
Delhi for H1B Visa stamping. On January 12, I had received a 221g requiring
me to come to the embassy and submit my fingerprints.

I submitted my fingerprints on January 16th and currently waiting for my
passport. The case status was last updated on January 18th but still
says "Administrative
Processing". Does anyone know how to better track the case status?

On 16th I was told at the embassy that the stamping should get done by
today January 19th, Friday.

I had my original flights scheduled for January 15th that I rescheduled to
January 20th.

Any help regarding this will be greatly appreciated. I have already
re-scheduled my tickets once and overshot my vacation by a week now.

Timeline:
Jan 3rd, 2018: Application Submitted
Jan 5th, 2018: Case Created
Jan 12th, 2018: Passport picked up with 221g
Jan 16th, 2018: Fingerprints at the Embassy

221g pending after 75 days of interview
I am a Phd in biochemistry and working as a postdo in US with an approved i797. I recently visited India and had my interview on Nov 3,2017 for first H1B stamping. I was given a white sheet stating 221grefusal and was told to submit a list of docs. I submitted all the docs on Nov 6,2017 and again on Dec19,2017 as I got an email from embassy stating that they didn’t get the documents. I have the confirmation email for documents submitted for both the dates. Still my case hasn’t been updated sincey interview date and its been more than 75 days now. If anyone is going through the same situation thn please share your views. All suggestions are welcome.

221G status tracker
Hello All,
I got 221g and want to track the status. I found the below is the link to track

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

But If give my case number, its saying invalid case.

Usually when they will create the case in system to track after the interview? My interview date is 01/16.

Any response appreciated. Thanks!

Hang in there guys!
I went from F1 -> H1 while in the states. Came to India to see my parents and the visa stamp. Here is the timeline.

01/08 - Biometric

01/09 - Interview
It was just a couple of questions and barely lasted a minute. I was told at the end that my visa is approved. I wasn't told any timeline by the VO such as "You will receive your passport in 3-5 days."

CEAC Status timeline
01/08 - Case created
01/09 - Administrative Processing
.
.
Enjoyed Uttarayan with my family
Lot of great food after 6 years
.
.
01/13 - Sent an email to ustraveldocs
01/14 - Typical useless response from ustraveldocs
01/16 - Case last updated changed to 01/16 but still in AP
01/17 - Issued

I though I would share my positive experience since I see a lot of people panicking and rightfully so! From what I have observed, almost everyone is approved eventually. It's just a matter of time. As hard as the wait is, just try to enjoy your time while you are in your home country with friends and family. You will be approved eventually!

After Interview , VO said , you are all set to go

Didn't gave any papers, didn't asked for any further documents

Showing status "Under Administration Processing" since then

When I called Embassy, they said there is no other way than waiting for status change

Did anyone else had similar experience

Any advise/suggestions

Is there any other way to get better or accurate info or contact embassy

I am employed with a US based power sports manufacturing company with 5000+ employees and $7B+ market cap

Dropbox->221g->interview
I work for a fortune 500 company (direct) and I had applied for a visa stamping in Chennai consulate via drop-box.

Jan 2 - Submitted the documents
Jan 4 : CEAC undated status to administrative processing
Jan 8: Received the passport back with the blue slip Asking to attend an in person interview
Jan 9: Attended an in person interview. The interview was hardy for a min. VO mentioned that per their system there was out of status for a month in 2013. She then mentioned that it might have happened while transitioning from F1 OPT to H1. ( cap gap was not recognized in their systems). She said she has corrected it, however, she needed to exchange a few emails with USCIS and I should get my passport back in 5 - 10 days. Also the same night CEAC showed a case update for Jan 9 and status still read administrative processing
Jan 16: Status still says administrative processing. However, I saw that the case of updated today.

Any one else in similar situations? Does anyone know if having a case update but no status change is a good/bad thing?

I have already moved my tickets and stuck here for now.
