Impact on H1... First company was closed.

Hi Experts,

I worked in companies A, B, C, D and E from last 8 Years.

My first company A is a small company, got closed during 2009 recession. Also, I read in some websites that this company has been in blacklisted.
 Rest of the companies I worked (B, C, D, E) are MNC's.

So i have removed this company name from my profile from past 4 years. However once i applied for B1 Visa and this has been rejected 4 Years ago,
as the VO was convinced with the purpose of my visit .

For my B1 visa i included my previous employer "A", 4 Years ago.

I have removed my employment details about my employer "A" from my profile from past 4 Years.
For H1b I have removed the employment history related to "A".
and for H1B they asked my last 5 Yrs employment history and this does not cover my employment details with "A" as this is almost 8 Yrs old.

So could you please advice if i get any questions from VO regarding this. Can some one please suggest.

Thanks
Naveen

H1b Stamping
I have attended the interview on 2nd December and got 22nd for submitting the project documents. I submitted all the documents in 1 week but there is no status update on the same till now. Status Updated date has been updated twice but the same message is coming. Also if I am tracking my passport then it is saying that there is no status update for this passport number.

Does anyone faced the similar situation? Please suggest.

H1b stamping
i was in l1. changed to h1 with same employer while in US. came to India for vacation and had to go for h1b visa interview.

vo: gm
me: gm
vo: name of the employer
me: xxxx
vo: oh so you are in L1 and now employer changing to H1
me: yes that is correct
vo: salary
me: xxxx
vo: why you came alone for interview. where is your kid and wife.
me: kid is having school. cant take 3 weeks leave so i came alone to see my parents. (i visited alone to India to see my parents. Wife and kid is in US)
vo: your visa is approved.
then suddenly she asked to hand over a copy of i 797 if i have. i went with load of original and copies. i gave her one.

in a week got my passport along with the xerox of i-797.

dont try to make up story. though i was not ready for the last question about wife and kid i gave the real reason why i came alone. if application is legitimate 99 percent they will give.

hope my experience helps someone.

note; the h1b guy before me got rejected and i was like oh god i am in wrong counter. But believe me VO do not approve or reject based on their mood of their day :)

H1B Experience in Montreal, Canada
I came to Montreal, Canada, on Dec. 6, 2015, for a conference. My previous visa expired in Apr. 2015;
I planed to go back to US using automatic revalidation.
Unfortunately, my backpack was stolen, with my passport and I797 in it.

I applied a travel-document from the Consulate of my homeland and use it for applying for a new visa.
The VO didn't know about "automatic revalidation"; he thought I have to apply for a new visa any way since my previous visa expired.
So he treated it as a renewal application and required "check".

I was interviewed on Dec. 11, 2015;
but there is no any update until now (Jan 14).
I sent the consulate emails, but didn't get any useful replies.
I called DOS, and they said it is still under AP. Since it is less than 60 days, they will do nothing.

I know there is a website http://www.checkee.info collecting the data of this process, but the cases in Montreal are very few. Could any one report to the website or reply me here about the processing status in Montreal? I really want to know how long it will typically take. Thank you very much!

H1B Visa at Hyderabad @ Approved
Hi Everyone,

First i would like to thank Immihelp for maintaining this platform which will help me a lot to face the interview and make confident.

For OFC: Attended on 10th January

This is quite simple and normal Bio-Metrics procedure. Here i will give some information about the DS-160 fillings, if you do any mistakes in DS-160 form later you can't modify those mistakes but we can fill the new DS-160 form by using the previous DS-160 application number. We can repeat this new DS-160 forms upto 7 times(this number i got to know from the OFC officer) and take all the old confirmation pages but don't give it to OFC officer they only need the final confirmation form which is latest one.
Maximum questions they ask like "How many times you filled the DS-160 form" and "What is the purpose of travelling" and "Where you will stay in US".

Note: This is for Hyderabad consulate, don't know about the other consulates.

Final Visa Interview Day: Attended on 11th January

Before me 2 H4 Visa candidates are there.

Questions asked as below

Me: Good Morning Officer
VO Officer: He didn't wish me back

VO Officer: Who is your Petitioner?
Me: Told

VO Officer: How many employees are working in Employer company?
Me: Told

VO Officer: What is your Highest Qualification?
Me: Told

VO Officer: What is your Project?
Me: I am explaining that this is inhouse project and i'll get to know once i report to my employer, here VO Officer interrupted me and said no i won't accept this you have to tell about your project.
The same question he have asked me for 3 times, at all the times i have given the same answer now this time VO serious-ed on me and he removed his headset and went to his colleague place and discussed some thing about of 45 Sec.
Again he came back and asked me the same question and i am trying to repeat the same answer again he interrupted me saying that "you are wasting my time and as well many of the people" which are standing behind me for waiting their turn to give the interview.
This time i spontaneously said "what i am doing the roles in my current company the same i am going to perform at Employers place" and i given couple of my current roles and responsibilities (here again the VO Officer said you are memorizing the points and giving here and i said 'NO')

Here i am very much tensed and my heart beat is increasing.

VO Officer: What is your Salary?
Me: Told

VO Officer: What is your Designation?
Me: Told

VO Officer: How long you have been working in this company?
Me: I said this is a new Employment

VO Officer: He asked my I797, And all Employer documents
Me: Given, he's verifying all the details and typing something on his system.

Finally he returned my all documents and kept my passport with him and said "Your Visa is Approved". After this he warned me about the "Port of Entry in US (Immigration)" may be they will ask you the same questions over there at that time you have to be very clear about your project details.

Me: Thank you officer for your suggestions and left the counter.

My counter counter number is 13 but i am sure those VO Officer will change their counter places like jumbling on everyday (because they are too smart than us).

Till now i didn't put my experience here, because i am very tensed about my result because of my project issue with VO so i thought once i see my result with green signal and then i can post it here.
Now i am very happy finally my passport status is in "Ready to pickup" today, to confirm this i called US call center people to check when can i collect my passport from the Bangalore location which i given while scheduling the interview, they told i can pick my passport on 19th January because they work from Monday to Friday, this Friday is public holiday and as well Monday also. So, i have to wait until 19th to get my passport.

Be Confident and make the eye contact with VO Officer and wear the formal dress (light color shirts and dark trousers) because first impression is the best and prepare well about the "Employer, Client, Project (even if it's inhouse also)

Thanks Again and ALL THE BEST FRIENDS..........
