Administration process
I attended my h1b visa interview on 12th January 2016 at Toronto Canada Consulate. The interview took place for just couple of minutes and the VO said My Visa is approved. However when I checked my status online in ceac website it shows "Administrative processing" and the status got last updated on 12th January.

I have my return flight to US on Saturday. I am worried about the status of my application, for the past two days it is showing Admin process even though I was told my visa is approved. Have anyone experienced the same situation as mine? Please let me know of any advice in this case.

Thanks.

H1B interview experience
Hi All,

Thank you all for sharing valuable information.

I have attended H1B interview at Singapore on Jan 11 2016.
Sharing my experience.

I was general questions like
how long have been working in Singapore?
Who is the employer?
What are the duties?
Which company going to join in US?
What they do?
Are you working at client place? who is the client?
then she verified something in machine for couple of mins and gave me one pink slip (221g) asking for additional documents from employer.

Docs listed in pink page.
White paper of development project which is assigned to beneficiary.
list of all clients and their contact details.
list of all employees with name, visa status, client, start date , end date.
Employer w2 and w3 docs for last 3 years.

Sad thing is she didn't even ask me any document at all. Strait away giving pink slip.... I said I have most of the docs with me I can help to provide almost all of them except one or 2 listed in pink slip now.
She said we do not accept bits and pieces. you can submit all together later.

I have informed my employer for remaining docs to share and waiting for docs to submit.
Good luck to all who are going to attend.

Hi everyone, please help me with this. My H1 was approved 3 months back and I am planning to travel to India for H1 stamping in Hyderabad in coming Feb. My client gives a letter saying that “ we anticipate the project to be fully implemented in calendar year 2016.” Is it sage to attend stamping with this letter. I do not know what to say if the VO asks if your proj is going to end in 2016. What will you do after that and so.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

H1B Stamping @Chennai on 13-Jan-2016
Hi There,

First of all I would like to Thanks this forum for sharing very valuable experiences.

I'm little unlucky in getting stamping today , received 221(g) additional administrative processing blue slip.

         I shared my experience here.

My slot is 9:30 am . I reached the venue around 9:15am. The security allowed inside and the crowd was not much. within 15 mins all the initial security processing was done including fingerprint confirmation.

Then I was directed to counter number 26 ,

          VO: Hi Good morning sir.
          Me: Good morning sir,

           VO: PP please
           Me: Handed over

            VO: who is your petitioner?.
            Me: explained

VO:how long working for this petitioner?
Me: This is a new opportunity sir.

            VO: what is your salary?
            Me: Told

VO: what is your roles & responsibility?
            Me: explained.

VO: when do you need to report to job?
            Me: explained

             VO: do you have client
            Me: Told

VO: which location going to work?
            Me: explained

VO: do you have client letter?
            Me: passed

VO: do you have employer tax returns?
            Me: passed

VO: do you have detailed project description?
Me: I told, I have itinerary and client letter. Then VO interrupted and asked to hand over all the H1B documents which I'm having. He searched in the deck and said, you are not having the detailed project description document.

VO: Given yellow slip and asked to wait.
Me: waited for almost an hour and half.

VO: Can you handover all the documents provided by your petitioner(LCA, Itinerary,I-129)
            Me: passed

VO: taken blue slip (221(g) form and written case number and said, your petition require additional administrative processing.Hence you can leave for the day and returned my passport.
Me: do I need to appear for interview again?.

VO: Not required, consulate will contact you for further process.

Fingers crossed thinking about my bad luck and fate.

Thanks All.

H1B @ hyderabad
Hi,

First of all thanks to all those who shared their experiences. This is very very helpful to make our interview smoothly.

My interview is at Hyd. OFC is on 12th Jan, Visa Interview is on 13th Jan.

I went to OFC with my wife and younger kid who has 4 months old.

Due to my younger kid, we are not waited any time in Queue.

OFC is as normal as simple thing.

Taking hand prints and face photograph with one question why you are going to US?

OFC guys are 3rd party team to collect bio metric for hand print and photo graph.

Today 13th Jan, my interview time at 10:00 AM,

we started by 9:30, because of my younger kid, we are no where in the Queue, so immediately taken the hand print again.

Now the turn to my visa interview, it is very simple

He asked me

Q: Who is your Petitioner?
ZZZ

Q: Who is your client?
YYY

My Client is not family, he requested to repeat again and again.
I spelled it out, he typed in google and searched.

Q: Are you going to client location?
Yes.

Next he asked few Questions to my Wife.

Q: When did you married?
A: Replied

Q: How many kids you have?
A: Answered

Q: Which is your favorite TV Serial for your husband?
A: She told that "He watches news channels"

Q: Telugu or English?
A: Both

Then VO told us "Your VISA APPROVED SIR"..

That's it. I returned by 10:00

H4 @Hyd on Jan 11
Hi All,
Thanks for the immense help by immihelp and all users for their valuable feedbacks.
My wife was done with H1B stamping in Dec 1 week. Me and my daughter applied for H4 visa on Jan 11 @ 9.30.
OFC as usual and on the interview day after completing the security check, body scan and all they kept us waiting for 45 minutes as there was a situation inside the consulate. As per the security guys some one collapsed after getting rejected and doctor rushed into the consulate..... but everything was fine in 10 minutes.

Mine is Counter 12, VO around 35 years and very cool. Here was my experience

VO: Hi
Me: Hi, Good Morning!!

VO: Which company
Me: Replied company's name saying it was my wife's H1 and VO replied after checking into his system "Oh you are for H4 and i said yes.

VO: What does your wife do
Me: Replied

VO: How much does she earn per annum
Me: Replied

VO: What is your child's DOB
Me: Replied

VO: Your visas are approved (with smile)
Me: Thank you and have a great day (with bigger smile)

He didn't ask for any doc's.
All the very best guys!! Thanks

H1B@ Hyderabad Consulate on 11Jan
Thanks for Immihelp and all users who have posted there valuable experiences in this forum.

On 11 Jan at 11am was my appointment. Reached consulate office by 9 30 and waited outside for 45 mins and at 10 15 security has allowed to go inside.
After all the necessary security checks and finger prints, they gave token no 12 and i proceeded to the interview.

Before me there were 2 women were standing and both of them were for H4 visa.
VO(Gents about 35 to 40 years of age) was taking interview for a H1B visa and the person was got giving answers properly and VO told him to wait outside and will call you later.

To my left counter, the VO was bit serious and harsh as he told to the H1B holder "Your are not aware of you roles and responsibilities so we need to further investigate, so please wait outside".

By seeing all this my heart-beat was very high, literally my heart was in my mouth and finally it was my turn.

VO: Good Morning.
Me:Good Morning Officer.

VO: Who is your Employer?
Me: YYYY X

VO: What is your designation.
Me: YYYY X

VO: What is your salary?
Me: YYYY $ per annum.

VO: Highest Qualification
Me: B.Tech specialization in Information Technology.

Finally the golden words"YOUR VISA IS APPROVED". I just said thank you and left.

As per my visa experience, i sincerely feel that all the candidate should prepare well before going to the interview and be confident while telling the answers and give genuine answers to the officer.

Wishing all the best for future candidates

Thanks for reading.
