Is Stamping required if my previous employer's visa is not expired yet
Hi,

I came to US in Oct 2014 from and well know Indian MNC and my stamped visa is valid till June 2017.

In June 2015 I changed my employer to another MNC. Few months later in October 2015 I changed my employer to a well known Consulting company.
Now, I am planning to go to India for Vacation in December and I have the below questions.

1. Do I need to go for stamping again? I have a stamped visa till June 2017 which is for my first employer, and I have approval from my current consulting company.

If I had to go for stamping, below are my questions again,
1. What kind of questions I can expect from VO as I changed 2 employers within a year.
2. Which location would be best for getting stamping done easily.
3. What kind of documents do I need from my employer and Client.

Any other inputs from your past experience.

Thanks,
Sathish

H1 B regular - RFE and Stamping experinece
Thanks to immihelp and everyone who shared their experience for the benefit of others.
It's not fair if am not going repay by sharing my experience in this forum because I know how much it helped me during my waiting period of 1 year in this H1 B run and it would help others.

H1 B regular RFE experience:

I received RFE notice on May 30th requesting for SOW but my project SOW is confidential.Due to internal processing it took so long time for us to share the response with client letter and manager letter instead of SOW on July 27th.

Since it is regular they took almost two months for adjudication and finally it was approved on first week of September. Its a random process, few friends of mine (regular H1 B) got approval within two weeks. We cannot predict when it can be approved we just have to wait with hope.

Stamping experience:

Oct 26th Bio metrics: It's a cake walk, they will just take your finger prints, photo and paste some bar code in your passport.

Oct 27th PAI Questions:

Good morning, how are you doing?

What company you work for?

what's your designation and its equivalent in onshore?

Which location you are travelling for?

what will be your salary in US?

who will be your employer in US?

who is your end client?

what's your roles and responsibilities?

Explain me about your project?

Finally he said the golden words "I am issuing your visa" which I have been waiting to hear.

Have your hope high, be confident !!! Good luck to you all !!!

US Mumbai Consulate
I was having my H1B Visa interview at US Mumbai Consulate, 27/10/2015 9 AM. I reached venue at 8:40 AM. I attired in full formals, not folded sleeves and without belt/wallet/bag pack. I heard to be in such attire from one of my friend.

It was a long queue outside consulate, with no. of people standing to attend tourist/B1/B2/L1/H1/Student Visas. After sometime, one of the VFS employee came and asked to scan sticker given at VFS Biometric. After scanning and number wise queue passing, I entered security check area where security personnel scanned my documents folder (see through folder I was carrying) with X-ray scanner and other did manual frisking like we go through at Airports. Security check was done at 08:55 AM.

They allowed me to go another step inside where VFS officials asking us to wait in queue where we can sit on chairs and go on as your turn comes. It took near about 25-30 Min in queue there. And I got inside another area at 09:30 AM which was actual Visa Interview location.

After getting inside there, I followed a queue where VFS officials guided me to last counter for bio metrics taken at VFS to be cross checked, 09:50 AM.
After cross checking of bio metrics, VFS officials asked me to be in queue at counter for Visa interview, the most awaited. My turn came and I appeared at one of the counter for Q&A, and it started . . .

VO: Passport
I handed over passport to him

VO: Why are you going to US?
Me: YYYY X

VO: How much will be your salary there?
Me: YYYY X

VO: What is your highest education?
Me: YYYY X

VO: For which company are you working?
Me: YYYY X

VO: Are you single or married?
Me: YYYY X

VO: Your VISA has been approved and you can collect it in next 3-5 days. Have a nice day

Me: All smiles :) :) :)

And that was how it done for me at 09:55 AM. All Q&A completed not more than a minute or 2.

My current Visa status shows as "Issued".

Thanks IMMIHelp for this forum. This is really helpful.
