Hello Friends,
I am in US currently and had scheduled my India trip between 1-26th April.
In between I took my dropbox visa appointment on 7th April at New Delhi.
Based on current corona virus guidelines all visas, except diplomatic, got suspended till 15th April.
Can you please share your recent experience so that I can reschedule my appointment based on facts.

Are Dropbox appointment also cancelled ?
Hi, The US Mission in India website (https://in.usembassy.gov/) have mentioned that all Immigrant and Non Immigrant visa appointments from Mar 16 will be cancelled.
I am trying to understand, if the consulates gonna work or just the visa appointments are cancelled ? and what will happen to the dropbox appointments. If anyone is having any additional info, kindly do share.
In my case I have dropped my passport at the dropbox already and I am wondering what will happen for passports that are already dropped at the VACs. I am sure there are many people like me.

H1b Refused
I have attended interview on nov 14th 2019.till march 2nd 2020 my status is under administrative processing . On march 3rd 2020 my status has changed to refused and case last updated date also changed to 3rd march 2020.please let me know any one facing the similar case.

Hyderabad 221g white slip passport retained
I had my interview on 11th of this month.
Below is the discussion with the Visa Officer
Me: Good Morning officer
VO: Good Morning
VO: could I have your passport?
Me: gave the passport
VO: Wrote “NCC Notes” on a slip (not sure what it is)
VO: Going through the screen, could I have your i797?
Me: Shared the I797
VO: is this first H1B or extension?
Me: its extension
VO: How long have you been with your company?
Me: close to 13 years
VO: what is your salary?
Me. It’s YYYY $$ + Benefits
VO: are you working for a client
Me: Yes mam
VO: who is your client?
Me: share the client name
VO: where are they located?
Me: shared the location details
VO: how long are you at this client?
Me: I am yet to join them
VO: what is your highest level of education?
Me: I did masters in computers
VO: I need to process some information, gave back the I797 and retained the passport. Shared a white slip with standard 221g message and no check boxes.

H1B Visa Stamping
Hi Guys,
I went to H1B Visa Stamping on 12th March and VO said i am approving your visa and today i am checking the status and its saying "A U.S. consular officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application" and i am tracking the passport and its saying its still with US Consulate
Anyone can confirm what to do now and i checked with my immigration team and they said this is normal because if they need some additional documents they will put the Refused in status and asked me to wait for their email for additional documents..
Anybody faced this?

Apologies for the late post.
I was working on L1B and my company filed for H1B in April 2018 which got approved after RFE in mid of April 2019.
My H1B visa interview was just for two minutes with below basic questions.
-Petitioner
-Salary
-Highest level of degree and if this degree was in US(No).
-Will I be travelling back together with family
VO did not ask any documents not even DS160. He just took only the passports.
VO was young American man who was fluent in Tamil as he was talking in Tamil to a family in front of me.
I got my H1B stamped passports in 4 days.
I faced issues during biometrics of my daughter(4 years old) as the photograph I had taken had a smiling picture with teeths visible and they did not accept that photograph and asked me to carry a new photograph during interview.
In chennai OFC there is a counter near basement for DS160 correction and for capturing photos.
Unfortunately my daughter was not will to stay for photograph.
I had to take around 70-80 photograps on my phone and then crop it as per their specification.
Please make sure to read the photograph specifications.

Hyderabad CoS stamping for H1 after 8 years.
Just had my interview this morning at Hyderabad for change of status from f1 to h1b. I have an approved i140 and this is my 7th year on h1b. Only three questions asked:
1. What does your company do
2. What education level do you have and
3. What's your pay
Visa approved and the VO retained my passport.
One tip for Hyderabad. Security will ask everyone to remove ALL documents from your folders as well as belt, watch and to empty your pockets. Just like airport security.
Most of us meticulously organize our docs so don't be flustered when they ask you to empty the file folder into a bin. Put your docs in a '+' pattern so that you don't get all of them mixed up. I.e. put one set of documents vertically in the bin then the next set horizontally on top of the previous ones in an alternating pattern. This makes it easy to put them back in the folder after passing through security.

Travel Information

I have completed the DS-160 form but haven't submitted and I already have scheduled my H1B Visa appointment at Mumbai on 1st April.
I have couple of questions:
1) I have planned travels starting from 28th March and return after 3 weeks. Since, due to COVID - 19, India has put bars on travelers from all major countries including Spain, Germany and France. United States in right after these countries in terms of number of positive cases for COVID - 19.
Is this a good time to travel and "risk" to come back or would these dates have a potential to create any travel issues?
2) If the DS-160 is not submitted, and I have already used two attempts on VISA appointment rescheduling option, is it possible to use the same DS-160 form and reschedule the appointment for available dates in October, 2020?
How far I would be able to review the available VISA dates? Is it reasonable to just cancel this VISA appointment and take a fresh start once the COVID - 19 chaos settles down - maybe by towards the end of this year?
Any inputs / thoughts will be highly appreciated.

Corona Virus
Does anyone know if there is a travel ban on non-US nationals coming to USA on H1-B visa. I am not from one of the affected countries (China, Japan, Korea, Iran, Italy).
I had to visit my home country for 1 week and so took 1 week off my work in NJ and now wondering if I can come back.
