Hello, I work for this fortune 500 corporation. They said they will apply for my H1B in 2020, its written in my offer letter as " xyz corporation will pay for to obtain proper work authorization". Can I sue them for breaking their promise & denying to apply for my H1B?
I bought a house & has invested a lot of things in terms of living because of their promise to apply for H1B & PERM, now they are stopping both processes. Can I sue them for compensation?

221g client letter

Dropbox Approved - Hyderabad consulate
My wife and I submitted went for Dropbox (change of employer) and below is our timeline.
28th Feb - Went to Dropbox location around 10:15 AM . Dropped our passports and documents DS-160, Visa appointment confirmation, I-797 old and new. This process took about 45 minutes (wait included)
29th and 1st March - weekend no update
2nd March - Morning - Application received, Afternoon - Administrative Processing
3rd March afternoon - Both our statuses changed to issued
5th March - picked up in local Blue dart location.
Overall, it was a fairly smooth process. Thanks for the folks in this forums for sharing their experiences.

This is my first stamping. F1 to H1B
Gave my passport and original i797
Simple questions about job title, salary, company.
Asked if I did masters in US and did I graduate.
The officer handed over a 221g white slip without any tracking number, saying that he can't approve my visa right now, needs additional time to process.
Didn't require any other additional documents and didn't give me a timeline when I asked for.
Retained passport and i797.
First update 28th Feb- Admin processing
Second update 02 Mar - Admin processing
Third Update 03 Mar - Issued
04 Mar - Got email with tracking number for passport pickup.
Seems like if you are doing first time stamping and F1 to H1B in Canada, you would get a 221g, but quickly processed.

What is visa is denied
I have received 221g blue slip in August n my employer has submitted documents on Jan 10th n there are no updates till date..what if my visa gets denied? Can we reapply or is there any other way to re consider?

Interview: Jan 6th 2020.
VO asked 3/4 basic questions. Employer, School and Degree.
Then she said your visa is approved, handed me a green slip and kept my passport.
Waited till Jan 28th for the email from the embassy to pick the passport.
But instead on Jan 30th I have received an email from the US embassy to report to the embassy on Feb 12th again.
This time VO asked a lot of questions regarding school, client, employer, salary and asked for the transcript from school and client contact details. I gave her a photocopy of my transcript and my client manager contact details. She kept the passport, handed me a white 221g slip and said your application requires additional administrative Processing.
From Feb 12th to March 3rd the status of the application was "Administrative Processing" in the website. But today its changed to "Refused" with following instructions.
"A U.S. consular officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing. You will receive another adjudication once such processing is complete. Please be advised that the processing time varies and that you will be contacted if additional information is needed. For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV or the website for the Embassy or Consulate at which you made your visa application."
