I had my finger scanning on 22nd and Interview on 30th November.
Day 1:
Reached consulate half hour late then my Ten Printing time. Yes got stuck up on road. Then in hurry went to Consulate office. But Finger scanning takes place at Trade Centre. So make sure you tell the Auto guy the right place. However the guard let me in. I didnot take my child as only 1 year old. At entrance I mentioned that we are 3 people but my child is absent. The Office said ok and asked my child photo. He ticked all 3 names in his list. Make sure you inform if you dont take your child. Make sure you inform if you dont take your child. My turn came and did my scanning quickly. I then informed this guy also my child is absent. I passed all childs docs and also photo. He took the photo and used his camera to click. Later he returned all stuff back. Make sure to take your child's photo.
Day 2:
Reached well ahead of time and were taken in. Waited in queue where the Office asked for DS-160 confirmation and Passport xerox. My child again absent today as < 7 years dont require a interview. Another queue inside were we got out token stuck on my passport. Since it was family they rubber band all passports together. Next line for ten printing. Remember even here to inform that your child is absent. I forgot but luckily the lady taking scan remembered and updated her system accordingly. Then waited for our turn. Meanwhile saw several rejections and console myself that these are different catergory. Within next 45 minutes my number flashed.

4. Your Role
A - Explained it. As these was most expected. Said 3-4 lines.

i had my h1b visa interview on Oct 23.
the interview was smooth. and the questions were about, employer, client , education.
finally VO said she is OK with petition, and requested docs (client letter, LCA, I-129) and told me that he need to verify these docs and will let me know if they need additional docs.
after 3 days i got email from consulate ...asking for additional docs (all contracts, client, vendor, employer, payslips) and i have submitted them immediately.
after 2 days i got a status update saying docs submitted to consulate
in my case i did not receive any 221g and VO took my passport at the time of interview.
Please let me know if any one had the same situation and how long the administrative process takes.

There is company called R-tech.us in USA and they also have branches in INDIA and CANADA.
One of my got cheated from these guys. They took 5000 dollars from my friend for applying for visa.
They said they will give back the money in case if he didn't get visa then then the money will be refunded. They said it will be security deposit and will be refunded. But they are not responding. My friend have a proof of payments. offer letters from employer and also telephone conversation..
are there any lawyers whom my friend can approach and file a case.. The only reason for this is to avoid any other people getting cheated from the companies like this..
These guys are fraud and they take money from you and will never get back to you.

H1 Stamping at Chennai
I am going for H1 stamping on 15th Nov. Finger printing 14th Nov.
I have following 2 questions :
1. I am going for in house project. I have Project SOW for interview. what is chance of acceptance ?
2. I am going by train to chennai Central on 14th Nov. I will be reaching there at 12:30 pm. What is budget hotel near hotel to consulate or OFM ? can I book hotel after reaching chennai ?

H1 and H4 stamping exp at Hyd Conulate - Nov 1st
Hello,
I have been following this website for last couple of months and it helped me quite a bit to prepare myself with documents required.
I scheduled for OFC on Oct 31st 4PM and Interview on Nov1st 8:30 AM at Hyd consulate.
OFC is very smooth and it took only 5 minutes to complete the whole process. Mobile phone are allowed here but should be kept in silent mode. you will be allowed 15-30 minutes before your scheduled time.
Visa interview- For 8:30 AM slot we were allowed inside only at 8:30 but please plan to be atleast 1 hr before as there will be huge crowd waiting in line outside the consulate office.
We were asked to keep the documents as below
At Gate
1) Passport
2) Appointment confirmation
At counter
For H1
1) Passport
2) DS160 confirmation
3) Appointment Confirmation
4) Fee receipt acknowledgement
5) I797 (xerox only - If xerox is not available then they are taking original)
H4
1) Passport
2) DS160 confirmation
Next your finger prints will be verified
You will be given with a token number and will be asked to wait for your turn
Here VFS personnel asked us to keep the following
H1
1) Passport
2) DS160 confirmation
3) Appointment Confirmation
4) Fee receipt acknowledgement
5) I797 (xerox only - If xerox is not available then they are taking original)
6) I129 and LCA
7) Exp letters
8) Client letters if applicable

Since the new process has started, OFC appointment is must for all those who appear for the VISA interview first time after Sep 26, 2012.
Good LI have already been ten printed twice, still I have to schedule OFC appointment on 5th Nov, 2012 for my H1B.
