I have a situation like VO said approved but I am not received any message/mail from them. In VFS Visa tracking also under process status is showing.
Can any body please tell me if same situtation happened , at how many days will take to receive my stamped passport or any issue they will keep hold.
If any body knows please mail me or post comments why they will taking thease many days.

H1B approved in chennai
Hi All,
My PA scheduled on may 18 at 11.15 AM, it would be great if you book call taxi to reach embassy. i reached embassy at 10 AM. first there would be a bunch of people standing in one place. securtiy will announce that this particular appointment time people can join queue, like 11AM, 11.15, 11.30. so u should be there exactly 45 mins before ur appointment time. no need to come very early also. becos u need to stand for long time. once u join the queue, keep ur appoinment letter alone with you outside, u need to give that one to one person, he will provide you one token number(just a paper token). after that security will check you and allow to go inside. their another security who will check all your files. this is not document checking, this check is for whether u r having any CD, pen drive lik that. after that you need to enter into one hall, there in LCD monitor they will display your token number(you need to wait for 10 mins to know your counter number ). once your counter number is displayed, u need to stand on that particular counter. there they will check your documents. he will ask how long back u have taken this photo(ds160), u can answer lik 20 days back.
after that u need to go to one counter for finger print. they will help you in that. after that u need to enter into intervie hall, here also they will display your token number and counter number in LCD,
now my interviews starts,
i passed the documents,
VO: have u travelled to US before?
Me: NO. this is the first time im going
VO: how log you have been with this company
ME: answered
VO: salary
me: xxxx$
VO: highest qualification
Me: bacholor of engg in computer science
VO: your client
me: answered
VO: what will you do for client
me: i will do requirement analysis and convert the business requiremtn into software programes and will do offshore onsite coordination

your visa is approved.
she taken my passport and ds160 form and returned back other documents.
who are all gng for H1B, dnt get fear. they will approve h1b 100% so no worries.

To My Husband:

Then she told I am approving the visa you will get it in 7 working days to your company.
It's long but simple questions only..but you need to answer confidently then the visa is yours.
In our case I had a rejection and My husband already traveled on H1 to US previously,so we were bit tensed.but it's cool

H1B visa interview 05/18
I got my H1b Visa approved for second time today in chennai consulate
It is a four step process,
1. Get in proper line outside the consulte according to your interview time
2. Clear Security. Be careful about any envelopes you carry. Dont take any sealed envelopes.
3. Admin processing section where they arrange all your required documents. Make sure to take some cash with you. At least 100 rupees. Also, get a US official size photo with you if possible. They also get your 10 finger scan here. Then you will be sent to Visa interview building
4. Actual interview happens here. My interview was short and straight forward.
Gave the documents bundle from admin processing section to Visa officer. She invalidated all my old visa stampings,
1. Did you got to School in US?
2. What is highest education?
3. Where are you travelling to?
4. Will you be working at your company?
5. Can you provide the I-129?
6. What will be your work?

I applied for visa through big company and i am having more than 8yrs experience with onsite work history.

H1B Approved - VFS Status - Passport under process
I had attended my interview on 16th May. My Visa was approved and the Visa Officer kept my passport. The status of my passport is - under process with US Embassy. I read there were other people who faced the same issue. Any idea in how long the passport comes back in such cases?

H1 extension experience at chennai
I had my interview on May 15th, it was a H1b extension. Mine was at around 10:00 am.
I reached the consulate at 9am itself. I was asked to wait before allowed to join the queue. Then joined the queue and passed in the DS-160 form and Interview letter to the lady in the counter at the gate. She issued me a token. Then after security checks, I was allowed to go inside.
People were waiting for their turn to get the documents verified and arranged at the counters in the first building. I was waiting for my turn looking at the display to see my token number.
After a 5 minute wait, I was called. Joined the queue and then passed in my document. The lady picked up only Passport, DS-160 form, HDFC receipt and the BEP letter from the company. She removed the barcode sticker from the HDFC receipt and fixed it on my passport and then bundled these things with a rubber band and returned everything back to me.
Then I was asked to give my finger prints in another counter before proceeding to the next building for the interview. Went to the next building, same kind of arrangements here also. Was waiting for my turn looking at the monitor. Then I was called, reached the counter .
VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning and passed in only the rubber banded documents to him.
VO: Who is your Client?
Me: Answered
VO: What is your position in the company
Me: Answered
VO: Are you paid properly
Me: Yeah, I am.
VO: You work from NYC office of your client ?
Me: Answered
VO: He showed me a phamplet and asked if I have already seen that.
Me: I said no
VO: He explained me that it says about the rights of temporary workers in USA and passed it to me.
Me: Collecteted it from him
VO: Your visa is approved and you will get the passport in 3 days.
Me: Thank you very much
and left from there. Now waiting for my passport.
