Very rare and Strage Case
Guys,
I have very strange and rare situation,Pls. let me know if any one have same kind of situation.
I and my wife went to New Delhi embassy for H1/H4 interview in Nov, 2011. It's H1 visa renewal. After asking very common employer related questions, VO asked to show me my current employer related documents. After showing all documents like client letter, LCA, I-129, Purchase order, itinarary of service, VO kept all the documents and give us 221(g) green slip with other tick mark saying "We are
reviewing your case". He Kept our passports,original I-797.
After 2 and 1/2 months, we got our passports without stamping in it.
They send formal rejection letter saying that they are unable to
issue visa along with passports. They also returned my original I-797.
After receving that letter , I believed that my H1B got rejection but
IT IS NOT THE CASE.
After receiving rejection letter, I and my employer talked with USCIS and DOS.They said that
my case is still pending and decision is NOT made yet. They also
told us to contact US embassy-New delhi about the case. We finally
contacted US Embassy-New delhi, US embassy replied that my case is still PENDING under 221(g). After that e-mail reply, I contacted VFS
and they said that to ignore rejection letter and consider that
my case is pending under 221(g) as US embassy said that in e-mail.
Can anyone has this kind of strange situation?

Successful Renewal of H1 & H4 @ chennai - 12th april
Our petition documents took 3 months to arrive in india.Since there was an RFE on it.
babas grace interview was smooth.
All the 4 questions asked were to my husband and None to me.
1.Which company do you work for ?
2.What kind of It solutions do you provide ?
3.what is your annual salary ?
4.Where will you be working ?
He didnt ask me a single Q on h4.
One needs to confident, clear, to the point.Carry all possible documents.

I have an interview in the first week of April for my H1B for medium size company.
The VO was a lady and the interview went very smooth and she seemed very content with my answers and information.
All of a sudden after 5 mins of Questions and answers session she looked at her monitor for a while and handed over 221g for asking me almost all the documents from that list while I already have 90% of them and I have submitted rest of the other documents a week later.
She also kept my passport.
Please, anyone have any idea about what would she have found suspicious or doubtful in the system?
How long this can take for consulate to make decision on cases like these?

I have attended the h1 visa interview and I got 221g query and waited for 5 months after that I got the visa...
I can say that if we are confident about the visa u will defintly get it..
who are on 221g case ... please dont get panic. you will defently get the visa... just follow up with the VFS for status.
