Hi,

Thanks to people for posting their experiences in immihelp.

I got my H1B and only 2 questions were asked.

1. What will be the designation in US?
2. What is your highest degree of qualification?

There was no rejections for H1B.
Few candidates got Blue slip because they did not carry client letter / contract letter between client and the petitioner.

H1B Re-stamping
I work for a well established company in US as a full time employee. My old H1B visa with a different company got expired.

Following were the questions asked:

1. how long have you been working for YYYY ?
2. Who are the clients of YYYY ? (I don't know what the officer meant by that). I told about the customers of ZZZ.
3. Do I work for client of YYYY ? I mentioned I work directly for YYYY at the headquaters, not at client.
4. Looks like you had H1B visa before ? I showed the old passport that has my previous company's expired H1B visa stamp.
5. what is your highest qualification ? Masters.

Thats all, the officer said the visa is approved and that I should be getting the passport in mail.

I went the next day and collected the passport in person.

Good luck everyone.

H1B Interview at Chennai on 24th March
I went to chennai consulte for an interview with my family. My Interview was scheduled at 11.30, but they called me an hour before itself for an interview. This is how my interview went on 24th March in Chennai.

Me: Good Morning
VO: Good Morning
Vo: She asked me all petition Documents
Me: I gave everything to her.
VO: She verified for 20 seconds. There was some manual correction in my petition letter. So she asked me why this has been overwritten?
Me: I explained her the valid reason
VO: Who is your client
Me: XX company. Then she asked me the client letter. I gave it to her.
Vo: She verified whether my name was mentioned in the client letter.
VO: What is your highest qualification.
Me: I said, XX degree

She took some time to verify all the documents in her system. I was waiting for her reply for 30 seconds.

Then she said 'All your VISAs are approved and will receive in a week time'.

She didn't ask even a single question to my dependents. If you have every valid documents then you don't need to worry. Particulary, the chances are more if you have client letter and your name has mentioned in that.

All the best for everybody.

Thanks.
