H1b stamping chennai - 221(g)
I reached the US Consulate, Chennai an hour before my appointment and after checking my appointment letter and security check i was allowed to go in.
Had to wait for around 10 mins for my turn, and went to counter and submitted my passport, DS 160 confirmation, I797 original, I129 petition, LCA and HDFC receipt. She asked my old passport to verify my valid B1 visa.
Then had to wait for 10 printing.
After that I was asked to go to the next building.
I just entered the lobby and my token no. was blinking in the screen. Went to the counter.
Me: Good morning mam.
VO: Good morning.
VO: Can I have your folder.
Me: Sure
VO: Can I have your old passport.
Me: Gave it. She verified my B1 visa and gave it back.
VO: Why are you going to US?
Me: Explained my proj and tech.
VO: Whats you highest qualificatin?
Me: Replied.
VO: US employer not same as current?
Me: Yes.
VO: I missed it. Your specilization in degree?
Me: Replied.
She was looking into each and every page of my I129 and LCA.
VO: Where are you going to work?
Me: city, state
VO: Are you going to work in client location.
Me: No. I'll be working from employer location and will be travelling to client location often.
VO: Can I see you client papers?
Me: I gave the contract and the invitation letter from employer as I did had letter from client.
VO: She was glancing through the pages and asked me "Is your name mentioned in this contract?".
Me: I said, it is there in the Invitation letter.
VO: She looked at the letter head and said I need a letter from you client with your name.
Me: I said don't have.
VO: She picked up a blue slip 221(g) and replied in irritated voice that don't waste time and give what I have asked for.
Me: I replied, sorry about that and I heard it as client papers and thats why gave the contract.
VO: Gave back the passport and all the docs along with 221(G) and asked me to drop these docs. Also she had written in the 221(g) that client letter should be recent and must mention your name.
I left with frustration.

H1b - Got Pink Slip
I attented H1B interview on 4th March and got the Pink Slip and asked to go to another counter.
VO - Your designation
Me - xxx
VO - You company and Client
Me - YYYY and ZZZ
VO - Degree

VO - We need some time for admin process please go the another counter..
Indian lady at the counter only asked me my employment history and that it and she kept my passport.In DS160 it does not allow to fill your exp details for more than 5 yrs and that why I couldn't mention my first company's exp.Not sure why they kept the passport ...I hope to get visa soon and no additional docs were asked and only a pink slip given..Indian lady said it will take around 12 weeks for the process..
Its 10days and I am waiting to get the VISA soon..I hope they don't reject my H1 ..

L1B rejected...now Initiated H1B
I had my interview at chennai consulate..VO was angry from the beggining itself....I told i am the only one in my company who is an expert in my tool..then VO asked how many people knows this tool...I replied i am the only one...then she started shouting on me...then i replied more than one people knows...she has given me blue slip..
1)Can anyone tell me if this rejection will be a problem for H1B approval?
2)If the VO again ask me why your L1B visa is rejected what asnwer i can give?

H1B approved at chennai E-C model
Got my H1B approval in chennai on Mar 7th. VO asked me the payslips, W2,Letter from Client, Contract between my employer and client.
Do your paperwork well and keep informed about your employer. Almost all of them got their stamping except for some business visas. If your employer controls your employment and your case is genunine, then you don't have to worry about H1B stamping. Be confident.

Some Tips
After going through all the experience i thought i can share something what i know.
1) Never tell VO that you will be doing Testing or Co-ordination
2) Even though you are in the E-V-C model always give perception that you will be working with the E developing the client software and try to have the client letter that shows the contract between E-C.
3) Ask you employer to depict your designation as computer programmer or some standard designation.
4) Never tell that client location is the work location. Always say that you will be working in the employer location and developing software with employer infrastructure for the client and will visit them if required for any clarification
5) 221G does not mean that your visa is rejected after sumbitting your documents you have every possibility of getting the stamping.

Hi all,
thanks for the suggestions. But my visa got rejected today. I am working in EVC model. I have all the required documents, but VO didn't see any and said he is gonna revoke my application.
Here's how the interview went
