all, the thing i observed is for EVC model everyone in chennai is getting 221g, i am not sure about others...hoping for something to happen

visa refused in chennai
Hi all,
thanks for the suggestions. But my visa got rejected today. I am working in EVC model. I have all the required documents, but VO didn't see any and said he is gonna revoke my application.
Here's how the interview went
VO: Goood Morning Sir
me: very good morning officer
VO: who is ur employer?
me:xxxxx
VO: do u work at client location?
me: yes
VO: is there any vendor in between?
me: yes
VO: got angry, and said this is against the E-E memo and i am gonna send request to USCIS to revoke ur h1b petition
me: dont know what to do, and said i tried to explain that i have contract agreements
VO: no need to look at them, you will receive letter from USCIS
in chennai, most of the people who have EVC are getting their visa rejected or getting 221g...

I had my interview today in Hyd consulate under non-BEP catogory. and without much questions, the VO gave me a yellow slip. This is for a internal project with my employer. Even though i had all the documents with me.
I am really wondering why they are approving the petition in the first place if they want to deny the visa.

Attended H1B non-BEP interview on March 2nd.
Following were the questions:
VO:who is ur employer.
me: told the future employer name and current employer name as well.
V0:highest qualification
Me told
VO: salary in US
me: told
VO: Client name
me: told
VO: do u have the client letter
me: shown
VO: where u will work in US
me: told
VO: total IT experience/experienece in previous company
me: told
VO: your visa got approved.

I would suggest to be confident in giving the answers and be cool.Bring all the required docs from your end as well as from your Petitioner end as well.

H4 Visa
Hi All,
I would like to share my visa interview experience.. It was very easy and very fast. I got visa within 30 secs.
The only questions I was asked were:
1. When did you get married?
2. How/when did you meet him?
Then the golden words came 'Your visa has been approved'.. That's it. They didn't ask for any document or wedding photos.
I could not believe it was so quick and easy. If your petition is strong and you seem very confident, they don't ask much questions. So, be confident and maintain eye contact while talking to VO. It will make things easier.

I am in a sales/ business profile and this was my first work permit interview for US.
Attended the interview alongwith my spouse today at the delhi consulate. the questions:
1) Company name
2) salary package
3) current designation and designation at US
4) Qualification
5) roles and responsibilities
6) how does your qualification make you suitable for the role
No questions asked to my spouse. No marriage certificates, experience, degree or any other docs requested.
And yes, got the approval for H1 and H4. So just be confident, answers questions right and that is it.

mumbai consulate has stop visa appointment for h and l visa class . so every have to go delhi or other us consulate in india . i am going to delhi for visa stamp . can u sand ur experience at delhi or we have to submit document before 3 days like mumbai .

I had my H-1B interview on 8th March. The below are the questions asked by VO.

Ans: I am fine.. How are you
2. So you work for xxx company?
Ans: Yes
3. Who is your client?
4. What is your highest degree of qualification?
5. How long have you been with YYYY company?
6. Where will you live in US?
After that she said 'Your visa is approved. We will courier your passport'. Then she returned the H-1B petition and the photo that was in the folder. She took the passport. DS160 confirmation etc with the green folder. When I gave my photo to her, she said 'Photograph is not required'. She was very polite and good.
I found less people in US Consulate compared to 7 months back.
