Successful H1B Stamping (Renewal )at New Delhi
Thanks to Immihelp and everyone posting their experiences here. Here is my experience at New Delhi.
1. VFS verified the documents at the entracne and asked me to pay the diffrence in VFS fee.
2. I paid at the VFS cash counter and they gave me a token and suggested me to go for finger printing at a different counter.
3. I went to that counter for finger-printing and it was an consular officer. He took my finger-prints and suggested me to wait for my number to appear on the screen for the actual interview.
4. Finally, my number came up on the screen and I went to the conter
5. Here is the conversion.
Me: Good Morning Sir,
VO: Good Morning
VO: Why do you want to go to USA?
ME: I am here today to renew my H1B
VO: What is the company you are working for/
ME: YYYY ZZZ
VO: Whay do they do?
ME: YYYY YYYY YYYY
VO: What do you do there?
ME: I am a xxxxxxx and my role is to xxxxxxxx
VO: Do you have a client letter?
ME: Yes Sir....
VO: OK! What is your pay?
ME: XX K
VO: You will receice your passport in 4 business days.
ME: Thank You Sir! Have a great day
They took my passport and I-797 and delivered the stamped passport and 797 in 5 days. I am with my client now.

Pending H4 visa under 221g yellow blue docs
Hi
I applied for H4 visa on 30th March which was my interview date and I got 221g yellow and blue papers. The lady said visa is granted but we need some extra information so pls. send these documents checked on this yellow paper and wait.
I submitted all the docs on 6th July through VFS and till now i hv no idea whats going on. There is no status on net even.
Pls. somebody help me and let me know how long the procedure is?

Successful H1B stamping @ Hyd
Hi All,
I'd like to first thank immihelp and all its users for sharing their experiences. It's my turn now.. :)
My wife and I attended the interview on 16-Aug-2010.
This is how it went...
We reached the consulate at 10.15A.M (scheduled time of interview was 10.45)
At the main gate we were asked to show the passports and the interview letter, after going through we were let in.
Then we joined a queue with about 15ppl ahead of us, when our turn came, we were given a tray and were asked to put all the documents,belt metal bangles, walet, keys etc in the tray and then were let in for scanning.
Then all our items were given back to us and were asked to proceed.
Then we were guided to a counter where we got our documents (that were submitted with the vfs application center) back.
Then we joined the queue for finger-print scanning (this queue was long and wait time here was more) after finger-print scanning we were given a token number and were asked to wait in the waiting area, here again we had to wait for abt 15-20 mins. then our number was called and we were sent to join a queue for the final interview
This is how the interview went...
VO : Good morning..
Me : Good Morning mam..
VO : Can I have your Passports please
Me : Sure (Passed the passports..)
VO : Can I see your petition
Me : Sure (Passed the petition..whole bunch of papers)
VO : So how long have you been working for ZZZ
(ZZZ was the company that was sponsoring my H1B and I was working for YYY, not sure why VO asked me this question, dont know if it was intentional or un-intentional)
Me : I work for YYY and I'll going to US to work for ZZZ
VO : Ok..So how long have you been working for YYY
Me : xx years
VO : What will you be doing in US
Me : ...(explained the nature of job)
VO : How are YYYY and YYY related
Me : YYYY is a client for YYY
VO : For how long?

VO : What is your highest educational qualification
Me : ABC...

(I wasn't asked any more questions about previous trips)

I have the same situation
i came to india in Aug 2009. i have been in india upto nov bcz of various reasons.My employer said you dont have any offer with me.don't come.i found another employer i trasnffered my h1 to another company like you.new employer said go for stamping even though i have valid stamping.i am going to attend again. No worries.
