My wife and son went for H4 stamping on 15th June at 10AM at Hyderabad consulate.
The questions asked:
1) where did you live in US?
2) Did you like the place?
3) Show recent pay stubs.
That's it. It was cool.
Photo was not good, so they asked to get a new one.
Everything went fine.

Class Consulate mentioned as Chennai, Can I go to Hyd Consulate
Hi all,
Please help me. I'm planning for H1B visa stamping for the first time by the end of this month. In I797 form, class consulate is mentioned as Chennai. So, can I go for stamping at Hyd Consulate? or Is it mandatory to go for stamping at Chennai consulate?
Can someone how have got their H1B Visa stamped tell the documents required and interview q's faced?

I wondered they asked around 10 docs from petitioner and around 15 min they take the time for the interview.Is it required to submit all dcos in VFS office before 4 working days. and Now free is 150 $ so diffrence amount is 912 Rs make a DD for that.
1)A copy of the petition with all supporting documents as filed to USCIS
2)A copy of the employment contract or letter of agreement sighned by you and the petitioner
3)Petitioner's income tax returns for the last two years and financial statements
4)A notarized list of all the petitioner's employees of the job site listed.The list should show all employee's names,their individual salaries and immigration status
5)State unemployment wage reports,showing all wages paid to each employee in the stae, for the past three quarters as filed to :----All states
(This should be the actual forms filed to the state authorities listing each employee and wages paid during the quarter)
6)A copy of contract between the US employment agency(petitioner) and the job site 9the location where you will work actually)
7)A letter (on letter head) from the personal department at the US job site stating that there ia a vacancy for you.
8)A letter from the client(End Client letter) company sponsring the project and a copy of the ontract between the U.S. -based petitioner and the client company,stating the timing,terms and agreement for your project
9)A detailed and specific description of the internal development project to which you will be assigned.Include a complete technical description of the project, employer,timeline,current status ,number of
employees assigned,worksite location,and marketing analysis for the final product

H1 stamping done in Chennai.
Hi all,
I read experiences in this site to prepare myself for the stamping. I found more positive news here than negative news and bad rumours which is why I liked this site.
I went for H1 stamping at Chennai consulate on second week of may. My appointment was at 9:45, but was allowed inside at 9:30. Saw 2-3 guys with Admin processing and rejections.
At document verification counter, my photo was rejected and the officer advised to get one done. There is a studio within consulate and they charge 100 or 200 rupees. Make sure you bring it to consulate.
Questions asked,
When did you join the current company?
What do they do?
What do you do?
What is the highest qualification?
When did you graduate?
What is your first job?(Luckily, no experience letter asked. I did not have one, since I quit my job. I had my payslips, W2, offer and other letters to support in case)
Asked to show my approved LCA.
Questions from LCA :
What is your Salary?
Employees count in the company?
Answered all the questions with confidence and got the visa approved. I got more questions than I expected but was cool and confident.
Got the visa at Hold at location in another city since my town does not have Blue Dart service.
No question asked at POE. All the best guys!!

reg: H4 visa -221g slip recived
Hi,
My husband and kid went for a H4 visa stamping at chennai consulate.My kid got visa..but my husband visa is in pending process.This is because he has traveled Iran couple of times...so he was issued 221g and in consulate thy informed him no action required from u we wil update in another 2 weeks.Even in the pink slip it was not mentioned he need to 'respond questionnarie'.
Can any 1 tel me whether he should send the questionarrie or he can wait till get update from consulate.
Note:case status is in pending process...

Stamping very smoothly
I was in U.S for the past few years. And I had to go to India for a consulate stamping for further extension. I booked my date for Hyderabad consulate appointment from U.S. I chose the option saying that I was resident of U.and wanted an appointment for visa. To my surprise the whole process of security check, documents verification, took not more than 25 minutes. We had a 9am appointment and we went early by 8 am. The Security let us in at 8:45 am. After going in, our H1-B 797 was verified in a database and the personell at the entrace wrote PIMS data base found. I and my wife went to the counter in few minutes and the lady Visa officer asked me

After verifying my pay stubs she told you will get your passports with VISA in a week.

I was following this site for the H1B visa experience and now its my turn to post my exp. I was in USA on H4 visa and got my H1B visa stamping in New Delhi. I am going to work on the internal project of my consultant.The questions were :
1. Since how long you are in US.
2. your experience
3. how many employees are there in your USA based consultant.
4. Your heighest degree?
5. Were you working for the consultant in US?
6. Where does your husband live and work.
