Successful H1B interview at Hyderabad on 3rd March,2010

My visa interview was successful and here are the questions asked:

Why are you going to US?
Who is your Employer?
Who is your current Employer?
What is your highest degree?
Which place are you going to work in US?
What are your project details?
How did you get this job?
Did you read the instructions given at the other counter? Make sure you read them before boarding the US flight.
This has confirmed to me that my visa was granted !!! I recieved my passport today.

Successful H1B stamping @ Hyd consulate
Hi,
I got H1B approved on Friday... I tried to get information about Hyd consulate before going to interview but didn’t get much...so I would like to share complete info here which would help others....

Hyd Consulate is very pleasant and comfortable place with good greenery and it’s a nice palace. You do not feel tensed once you are in that environment and enjoy that palace. You cannot take mobiles, bags helmets etc inside the palace and they do not provide any locker facility. There is a small place beside the consulate where you can deposit the luggage but they charge good amount of money (20/- for bag, 50 for mobile etc).
After I deposit my luggage, there is a queue of 5 people for small security check at gate to verify your appointment letter & passport. Then I stand in another line for the actual security check where 10 more ppl waiting before me. They ask to remove all the metal items and verified it.
After, I went into another line where 3 to 4 people are waiting in front of me. I suddenly got shocked that the person who is in counters asking some questions. So I though this is the interview line but the interviewer is an Indian. Then I asked the person who is standing in front of me. He said its just verification of your passport & petition form. When my turn came, I said Good Morning and she took my passport, I797 forms and asked for photo. I gave photo but she asked me to give a white background US standard photo. She told me that there is a VFS office outside consulate and they can give you photo in 10 mins. So please carry at least one photo with you.
After I took photo and gave it to her (now, didn’t stand in line and directly went to counter), she asked me to stand in another line for finger prints.
After I gave my finger prints, they asked me to wait in waiting hall which is a 3-side open hall. I got a token in the waiting hall which is just 10 numbers above the current counter. So, I waited for 5 mins and my turn came.
Finally below are the questions I faced….
Me: Good Morning Mam (with enough smiles)!
VO: Good Morning
VO: How long you have been with this company?
Me: X years
VO: Can you show me your old passport?
Me: This is my first passport Mam
VO: Are you going to work in same company in US?
Me: YES
VO: What is the project you are going to work?
Me: explained (just 2 lines)
VO: Have you gone through the instructions form given in previous counter?
Me: Pardon! (I didn’t get the question)
VO: She repeated the same
Me: Not completely…But it talks about my rights in US
VO: That’s okay…. Your visa is approved… You will receive in 7 days

My suggestions: Go with a comfortable mindset… I really felt tensed about their accent, the way of questions they ask, checking our confidence etc. Don’t worry about anything. I think most of the people got successful stamping. I observed one more person in front of me asked VO to repeat all questions and she repeated and her visa also approved. So, just be prepared about questions (VVIMP: About project). Their accent is same as Indian accent.
Sorry for long posting…I hope it help people who are going to Hyd consulate for stamping…..
