Original Notice of Action Form I-797 required for H4 visa stamping?
Hi,
I am on H1B visa, and currently working in the US. My wife is interviewing for H4 visa (dependant visa) in my absence at the US consulate, Chennai.
I was wondering if she needs my original Notice of Action Form I-797 or
photo copy of that is sufficient enough. Just asking because, at vfs-usa.co.in it was mentioned that she needs original.

HYD H1 stamping
My case:
I'm on EAD for 3 years of residency, and got job and my employer sponser h1 visa. Reason to change to H1? My spouse Green card is taking long time to approve.
I kind of worried since I'm changing my status from EAD to H1
V.o: Documents please..
V.O: Your passport will be delivered in 5-7 business days.
that's it.
In port of entry:
Officer: You are not in parole any more ah? (seeing my last Advance Parole stamp)..
Me: I'm using my H1 now.
Officer stamped..that's it.
My observations in Hyd: Please talk clearly, I noticed one candidate speaking fast and VO could not understand a bit.

Reg: H1B Visa stamping at Riyadh applied from Hyderabad
Hello Friends,
I need an help, can some one answer to my queries.
My application got selected in 2008 lottery. Once I have been to Mumbai US embassy and they asked me to attend from Chennai. But due to recession I didn't dare to attend immediately.
Now I am in Riyadh on Business Visa from Indian IT company and my stay may be extended to 6 months. Can I attend US Embassy in Riyadh being an Indian with Saudi Business visa.
Appreciate your help.

I just had an interview to obtain my H4. The question I was asked were:
1) Why your name in our passport is not you married name yet? When areyou changing it?
2) I see you've been in US before what type of visa did you have and what did you do there?
That's it!The bigget tip that I can give you is be confident, answer the truth and looking the consul eyes.

H1B Success, after L1B 221(g)
First of all, i really thank this Site for such wonderful Information..
Its time for me to comment on my experience:-)
On 23'Apr'09, i went to Chennai Consulate for L1B and i got 221(g)....
Q's asked : 1.What ur specialization, 2. ur exp ?
3. abt ur role ? 4. why only u to US?
On 01'Feb'10, i went to Chennai with H1B Petition documents:
Q's asked :
VO office is too happy/good....n friendly..may b my luck...Counter1 in VFS First building.
He looks soo young n handsome..
Me :GM sir...good smile
VO : Good Morning..... How are you?
Me: I m good, thanyou ..how abt you?
VO : I'm okay. thx.
Vo : with lots of happiness...singing n whisling....looking at my documents...
VO : what r u going to do at US?
ME :I work for Project abc, where in we develop the s/w to track order from sales to billing.
VO : Your left hand middle finger on scanner pls..
ME : I placed it..
VO :Thankyou.
ME: thx
VO : Where r u going to work at US?
ME: Middle twn,NJ
VO: looking at my current sal in BEP.. How much will ur company pay you to stay in US?
Me: abcabc $ per year sir.
VO: okay. gr8
ME: looking at him smiling..
VO: packed all docs...given my petition back, took passport and other docs...and the GOLDEN WORDS........... **** *YOUR VISA IS APPROVED **** ***..

For H1B ,once your petition is ready..and if ur company is MNC...your visa stamping is done...do not worry..
For L1B,..you need LUCK as well :-)
ALL THE VERY BEST.... YOU WIL DEFINETLY GET SUCCESS...
