Successful stamping in chennai consulate on Dec 5th
Hi All,

Sorry for posting my experience late.

I attended the interview in chennai consulate on Dec 5th and got stamping succesfully.

Below are the interview transcripts

VO: Good morning,How r u doing today
Me: Good Morning.Doing good.Thank you.How about u?
VO:What's your Qualification?
Me:Bachelor of engineering from University of Madras
VO:Which year completed your engineering?
Me:2003
VO:How many years of work experience do u have?
Me:4.5 years
VO:Whats your roles and responsibilities in your current company?
Me:I explained him about the roles and resposnsibilities which i had prepared already
VO:What is your project name you r going to work in US?
Me:I told him my project name
VO:What is your roles and responsibilitis in the project you r going to work in US?
Me:I explained him
VO:Do u have project description letter with you?
Me:I dont have the project description document with me but i do have the client letter with me which states my roles and resposibilities
VO:can i see the letter?
Me:Yea,sure and shown the letter. He verified and give it back
VO:Your visa will reach you in 4 days
Me:Thank you.Have a nice day(Without showing much excitement there)

I received the passport with VISA stamping on Dec9th evening.

These r all the tips i would like to tell to all the people who r going to attend the interview

1.Document presentation is the main thing.so please keep the documents in index order so that u can give the documents with no time since they wont give much time to the take the document out of your file.If you take much time they will simply give 221(g) form and ask you to drop the documents in VFS dropdown box.I saw 2 or 3 peoples have been handed over 221(g) form due to this.
2.Be confident.I know its easier said than done but u have to be confident.Just be normal.Talk to the VO like u talk to ur friends.
3.Prepare for 5 mins explanation for Project description, roles and responsibilities for ur current project and the US project since eventhough u r good in communication sometimes u tend to stammer which will give negative feeling to the VO.so be prepared for 5 mins explanation so that u can explain 1 or 2 min about these things since u tend to forgot some points.

Other than that VFS and VO are friendly in chennai consulate so dont get tensed.Dont talk to people coming out of consulate or from interview.

Good luck to all the people who r going to attend the interview.

Thanks,
Cloud9

VO approved my visa....with these simple questions..i think by gods grace...i got thru easily....

Few suggestions:
*Be Confident whlie facing the vo.
*Try to go in formals with company id.
*Arrange all of ur documents in a hormonium file..do not carry sealed covers..
*Be prepared for the below basic questions:
ur project title and desc...clnt or in-house proj/about ur employer/about ur roles/about ur intw process/how do u came to know about this employer....

*keep the imp documents like proj desc and tax returns in start of ur file..so that it will be easy for u in showing them to vo when asked by him....so as with ds 156/ds 157,passport,app letter,i 797,i129,hdfc rec...

Hai Everyone,
This is Ranjit from Hyd,
i got h1b in Dec 3rd sorry for the late
ya in my view everyone sharing which docs, questin only it is good
but how the process is going on ,newcommers doesnt now ,thats y iam sharing that much of experience also
ok
be confident no problem every can get it easily with good preparation work ok

at first u can go the firstline only
they can verify the passport and interview appointment
after that they will send u inside of the consulate
at that place the document verification just formality
after that they will send u inside the counters,
they are just like reservation counters in railways at that place they are verifying ds156,ds157,form129,form 797 ,passport and every thing and they are asking thumb immpressions also
after verification is completed they put all docs in blue folder and at that time u r ready to face interview, here u have to wait a lot of time for ur turn
plz be confident at that place y becoz all are faceing tense at that time only
y becoz they are also just like reservation counters and they are asking different questions
no problem be confident only 30 sec to 2 min ur interview is over most of u all are think that it is very critical no yar it is just like to cheek ur genunity and confidence only
ok
All the best if any questions regarding this
i will help u definetly
Byeeeeeee

Visa After 221 G
Hi All,
This is Srinivas. i had my PA on Sep30 and got 221G. the reason i believe that i told the VO that i will be working on Inhouse project, then VO did not verify not even asked for the Docs and told me to drop them at VFS so that they can verify.

I have submitted all the docs on Nov 5 and after a month Dec 5 i got my passport back with Visa stamped.

I guess i no need to say this point again that one will get visa if the docs and employer are genuine. but the time definetly vary from case to case.

All the Best for all... and Thank you every one in providing your thoughts in this forum. i was following this site from June08 on which my company applied L1B (blanket) which is rejected by Consulate..

regards,
Srinivas.
