Got my H1 Approved
I had the interview on 4th Dec 2007. My interview was scheduled @ 8:15am. I went to Chennai Consulate at 7:30am with my wife and my kid. There were no crowd at the entrance. There was a Security person sitting in the counter. He checks our Passport and the Interview Appointment letter. Please don't show other than these documents to him. He allowed us to go inside the Consulate. First they did the Security check and asked us to go inside. There were several queues. As I'm having a kid they asked me to go directly to the last Queue. Here they will check and scan all your documents and arrange it in a file. Then they told us to go to next building for finger print. Immediately after the finger print, you may have to face the interviewer.
Here is my experience.
Me: Good Morning
VO: Very Good Morning. H r u?
Me: I'm fine. H abt u? (in low voice)
VO: No answer
VO: Give me the documents.
Me: I have given all the documents, arranged in the file. (Please see the list of document which I have taken with me)
VO: What ur Highest Degree?
Me: Bache.............
VO: Hm......
VO: What you will do there?
Me: blab..........
VO: Is that at Client Place?
Me: Yes. I will work at Client Place
VO: Do you have client letter?
Me: No. But there is a agreement document between xxxxxx and the yyyyyy.
VO: (Silence for few minutes)
VO: Can I have your Kid Original DOB certificate.
Me: Yes I have. (I had maintained a index, so it was easy for me to pick the document and gave it him)
VO: (Something he has told, but I couldn't understand)
But He has given all my documents except my Passport. I understand that My visa has been approved and I asked him Is there any possibility that I can get my Passport inperson. He has told me contact VFS and given me the VFS contact information.

Iam not understand why different visa officers will think differently ,there is no baseline .
When employuer filing our petition itself they will submit all documents to USICS in that time they will check , now why they want to check again iam not understanding.
They have to check our Studies are genuine and our experience is genuine or not.
I dont know when they will contact me,i lost all my hopes.I have lot of confidence before interiview main confidence is that iam carrying all my documents but no luck.
I understood from my experience is Luck and visa officer.
I dont know how much time it will take 221 Administrative processing,visa office taken all documents like i797,ds156,ds157,
2005,2006 Tax documents,2007 Quartely Tax documents.
Iam working in a very big USA based Company.

Hi All,
I had a VISA interview on 21st Nov and was issued 221(g) blue form for not having wages reports for the last 3 quarters.VO asked me to drop all the documents with out passport,Now I have got all papers.My doubt is do I need drop all my original certificates also?If so in how many days I would get a response from chennai consulate.Wat are the chances of getting stamped?Any help is appreciated.Thanks

First of all I would like to say Thank U for all of you guys posting experiences in immi site, also to this site.
I had visa interview on Nov 30, 2007 at 9.00AM, I reached the consulate by 8:30AM and was allowed to enter inside and finished all the formalities(including green folder and finger prints) in 15 mins and enter into the final queue, I was bit nervous as I was not given by project docs, tax papers and wage reports. But I was very confident that what I need to answer if they asks about the docs which I do not have. The guy infront of me was been interviewd for 10mins and was rejected, then I went VO, following conversation,
Me: Good Morning sir,
VO: Very Good Morning sir,
VO: What is your qualification
Me: Master of Computer Applications,
VO: How long have you been working with Oracle.
Me: Said 9months,
VO: What is the project you are going to be work for Ace Technologies(my Sponsor)(The question which I have my own answer)
Me: I have not been assigned to any specific project yet, I am kind of domain j2ee expert, I would be brief on the projects once I goto US.
VO: Issueing the Visa, congrats.
Me: Thank U very much.
Guys,
My suggestion is, be confident and prepare for all the questions they are going to be ask.
Though U don't have specific docs, be prepare for the answers.

H1-B Visa Stamping Delay (221g) at Delhi
Hi Guys,
I attended the interview on Aug 09'07. for my H1-B
stamping. I have been working in US for nearly 8 years and came back for marriage and also since my company was going under i got a new offer from a big company just before departing USA.
I was given a yellow and pink slip 221g - from
US Embassy, New Delhi. I have been checking my status since then - it shows Pending. Its been nearly 5 months since then. Its turned my life upside down because of many liabilities, new job offer, other pending appointments in US.
Can some one pl. respond any relevant information
rgd my case, rgd how much time does it take these days to get the visa stamping fr new-delhi. I have been postponing my return-ticket since then and now its nearing its expiration.
I strongly request to pl. help me out, if you happen to have any relevant details. Thanks a bunch.

I have given my interview on december 7th morning 8AM here goes my experience.
Me: Good Morning Mam
VO: Very Good Morning
VO: Whats is your higest degree?
ME: Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics from Madras University.
VO: How much experience do u have
ME: 2 Years
VO: Who is your client?
ME: xyz
VO: Whats your project?
ME: xyz
VO: Can i have your client letter?
ME: given
VO: can i have your degree certificate?
ME: Given
VO: can i see your individual mark lists?
ME: Given
VO: Can i have your Project Description?
ME: Given(She searched some thing in the system .... )
Then finally came the golden words... Its as simple as that.
One thing i observed is untill u have all the required documents and u are confident enough..thats it you can get the VISA.

I received 221(g) blue form on 31st july 2007 for all the petitioner docs without passport.i dropped all the 9 docs without passport in vfs office on 16th august 2007.since then i was mailing to consulate.but everytime i got reply saying that it is still under processing.but today i got a reply which says like below...

Can anyone tell what the above means?Is it a rejection letter that they are going to send me?what are the chances for me getting the visa...plz seniors help me in this..if they want me to send passport then will they send a letter asking me to send my passport or will they mail or call me?plz tell me what can be this letter.plz help me..
