Hi All,

My interview was scheduled at 11.30 AM on Friday Nov 16th 2007 at Chennai Consulate.

I reached there much early at 10.00 AM. There was no queue outside, so security let me in. I was asked to stand in a queue to verify documents. Since it was L1-B, they asked me to wait for the Demand Draft receipt. They kept my folder and asked me to wait. This happens in the first building. There you can see people are being directed to the second building for the interview. Noticed that many people came there without writing their names in their mother tongue and few had problems with the photograph. Looks like there is a studio nearby , so no need to worry..

I had to wait for 1 hour for my folder to be returned. One of the security guy wud call out our names and ask us to proceed to next building..

I reached next building by 11.15. Immediately all 11.15 and 11.30 slot people were asked to proceed. For finger print, watch out the video that they play in the room to know the right procedure..

L1-B candidates were asked to join a line on the other end of the finger print counter. L1-Regular and H1 had a different queue. Officer was a foreigner lady. she was really pleasant and friendly.. to my surprise she was asking the same questions to everyone. I could hear questions asked to 2-3 people standing in front.

Questions were:
1. How long are you working with X company?
Answered: X yrs
2. What are you gonna do in US?
Answered: So and so project, explained in 2 lines what it does.. thats it.
3. How good are you in this application?
Answered: I said i have been working in the same project from its start, day one..

She just repeated : Ok,,Day one.. and proceeded filling something in the computer and put seal on the paper..

Be prepared to talk without fear.. they are not techies and doesnt know abt ur project.. so dont worry what you are telling, be confident abt what you say..

Eg, they dont mind even if you say that Easytrive is a database.

All the best !! This site really helped me.. Thanks a lot

issued 221(g) white fom in mumbai
I was issued 221g white form in Mumbai consulate. they have retained all my documents except DS forms. They have marked few boxes in 221g form, like they require some extra documents like tax returns, unemployment wage reports from my employer. They asked me to drop those documents in the dropbox including my Original Passport, But on the 221(g) it written as come to consulate on any working day after 10am with those documents marked in 221g. This was the case with me, and I am still waiting for the documents.

Here my doubt is Do I need to attend the interview once again? Or drop my documents in the dropbox?

Please post your exp, it would be highly valuable for us and would be highly appreciated.

H1 approved in U.S.consulate,sydney
Hi everyone i am very thankful to this sight as it helped me alot in preparing for the h1 interview.

i attended interview for h1 in sydney on july 25th 2007 and got stamped on 27th july 2007.

if any one needs infromation regarding my interview mail me to the address above mentioned i would definitely help you people.

only one thing i can say is it is all depends on the luck and moreover how confident you are while answering the questions and never repeat the answers.
and one and most improtant thing that u all have to keep in mind is dressing.when u go to the interview they first look at the dress and body language and smile on ur face with which u can create a good impression.

so,please keep all that in mind just go ahead and the visa would be waiting for u............

all the best one and all,
from rajani,sydney....
