Today I got 221 (g) at Mumbai Consulate specifying the documents are as per Chennai Consulate and redirected to chennai.
Plz Specify me Shall I Have to take appointmet again for chennai or I have to attend at Chennai within working days(monday...Thursday between 9.00 AM to 12.00 PM) directly.
What is the process

Hi everyone i am very thankful to this sight as it helped me alot in preparing for the h1 interview.
i attended interview for h1 in sydney on july 25th 2007 and got stamped on 27th july 2007.
if any one needs infromation regarding my interview mail me to the address above mentioned i would definitely help you people.
only one thing i can say is it is all depends on the luck and moreover how confident you are while answering the questions and never repeat the answers.
and one and most improtant thing that u all have to keep in mind is dressing.when u go to the interview they first look at the dress and body language and smile on ur face with which u can create a good impression.
so,please keep all that in mind just go ahead and the visa would be waiting for u............

Hi All Experts,
I too got a 221(g) blue in chennai and asked to drop the docs at VFS with out passport. Can anyone who got visa after dropping docs without passport can let me know what will be e-mail address with which we will receive mail, if the consulate contact us thru e-mail.

Dear Friends,
First of all I would like to thank the people behind Immihelp.com for creating such an useful site and helping the US visa aspirants with so much detailed and precise information.
I am a first timer "lucikly" qualified for H1B this year. The next step of H1B interview was the biggest hurdle after hearing and reading several experiences from several people.
Here is our experience @ Mumbai
and i would like to suggest, plz don;t carry zip file with you...b'coz security will not allow you to carry with you..
Here is what happened at the interview,
VO: Good Morning Sir.
ME: Very Good Morning sir,
VO: can you just give me 1 min..
ME: ya sure sir
VO: ok just give me you tockon ( after 1 min)
VO: What are you doing right now?
ME: Sir, i am a software eng. so right now i am working with xyz company.
VO: ok. where is this company?
ME: It's located inh A'bad. Gujarat.
VO: WHat is your Highest Qualification?
ME: MCA
VO: May i see your Degree Certificate?
ME: ya sure sir
VO: How much exp you have?
ME: SIr, i Have almost 2 years industrial exp.
VO: Have you any proof?
ME: ya sir, then i produce my offer letter, salary sleep and joining letter..
VO: How much package you will get in your new company?
ME: YYYY USD/Year
VO: What is you designation in new company?
ME: Programmer Analyst
VO: What is you responsibility?
ME: sir, I will be responsible for doing xyz , abc work
VO: Have you offer letter of your new company?

VO: You want to stay in USA permentally?

ME: sir, I have Indian citizenship, and my papa and my mom is here, so any how i have to sattel in India only.

i was shoked after hearing this golden words from VO.
and finally i got my passport in the evening...

today my appointment for h1b was scheduled at 08-30hrs and i reached the consulate at 07-30 hrs with my wife and 4 year old daughter.There was a big que in the security at we were let inside immediately.Then comes the regular process as discussed by many people in this forum
after the finger printing immediately we were lead to the next counter ti the visa officer.my was carring the child and the marriage album .I passed on the green folder and immediately opened my file and got ready.
me:good morning officer how is the day today.
(with full confidence and energy)
vo:wished back and i passed the folder.
vo:what is the highest qualification
me:blah
vo:how many years of experience.
me:blah
vo:was working in the computer for few soconds and gave a quick glance at my daughter and wife.
vo:please give me your daughters birth certificate
me:passed
vo:o.k. iam registering your visa and u will be getting it in a week time.
not a single documents was asked even my degree.its only the confidence and gods grace that got me this visa.

hellow ladies and gentlemen.
i sincerely sujjest people not to go for MUMBAI consulate if they dont belong to that consular area, Mumbai consulate people too got an Impression that people from AP are TOOOOOO intelligent ......offcourse are....esp costal andhra people....very intelligent to make IMMPOSIBLE as possible ....how ever it may be genuine or not .
offcourse their soul know what they are..........why iam saying this is ....recently people having HYDERBAD passport nearly 30 to 35 members have been directd to chennai consulate......... now VO's of mumbai are staright away giving 221(g) forms by seeing that they have hyd passport.
so , people who like to act smart being in rural areas want to go US ...should change their mind and dont make HYDerabadi born or natives to go panic about .....Making HYD as fake..............u have already made HYd as greater ...........
so guys and gals .....pls dont , this esp for rural areas of C andhra.
