The consulate will respond to your case definetly. There is holiday only on Dec 25. Regarding the time of response there is no time frame for that. They might take one, two weeks or months also. Usually they do respond through mail and now they are clearing the cases very fast. No need to worry. All the best.

221g blue form with out passport

i attend interview on Nov15 in chennai counslate. he asked about project doc.. i submitted . but he didn't satisfy with project documentation. he asked me Tareturn , unemployment wage report.. i submitted.. but he gave 221g blue form and have written No need passport.. i have many doubts.. i spoke with my empployer regarding documents(VO tick the all columns from ur petioner side)if i will drop all the doc into dropbox on dec-1st week ..wil they respond immediately.. are they are taking holidays of one month(Christamas)... if i drop the dropbox when they wil respond i mean within two weeks or three weeks,,, or four weeks.... can any body suggst me about this...
i feel more tense baout this....

Got 221g
Hi all,
I have attended my Visa interview last month and got 221g blue form. The V.O asked me to submit the requested docs at VFS office. The V.O also mentioned my Visa case ID on my 221g form. I have submitted my documents at VFS yesterday ( 20th, Nov).
I have checked the status of my case online and no information is available. I believe, I can check my status as I have my case ID or is it something like they will only update the case status if they issue 221g pink.
Your responses are greatly appreciated.

Misconception about chennai consulate.
i would like to share about my experience at Chennai consulate.
whether it is chennai or any other consultate whether it is for visa inteview or any interview , the person who is interviewing will come to a impression within 20sec.
Please try to maintain eye contact with the interviewer.
my experience at Chennai.
Please check 156 and 157 forms thouroughly and fill them donot forget anything..
My appointment with chennai counslate was at 10:45am, i was at consulate at 9:45am.
finished all the formalities like finger prints and everything. after that we have to wait for our turn with visa officer for interview.
when it was my turn i went near the window, and wished the officer very gently and with a smile on face.
questions from VOI.
VOI:What's your higest degree Sir.
Me:Masters in business administration
voi: which university sir.
me: Osmania University
VOi:graduated in?
Me: Bachelors of science (computers).
Voi:how big is your company where your going to work for.
ME:10, initally i will be joining them at our corporate office.
VOI:whats ur role.
me: Business analyst SAP
VOI: which module
Me: sales and Distribution.
VOI: iam issuing u visa you will recieve your passport in 5days by post.
Me: thanks a lot and happy thanks giving day Sir.
Be confident and keep all Doc's handy as and when needed produce it, donot present any DOC without Asking bcos it may lead to more ?'s leading to more trouble. Answer to the point i mean Simple donot use compllicated terms or technical terms more bcos we think they no nothing about technology but they are sitting there since very long and now each and every terms in tecnology.
But try to maintain EYE contact for sure.

It doesn't mean your visa got rejected.
When you drop off your documents and once the processing is done, VFS will ask you to send the passport.

My interview was in delhi at 11.45 on 27 Oct -2007. I reached there by 10 and was allowed to enter.
the following questions where asked.
tell me about the company
what is your role
what is your salary
are u married
will u be working on client side or inhouse project
how many children u have
have u been to usa
what is your education
then i was told that i will have to come again and give fingure prints and $85. which i did the same day. i was given 221 yellow and pink pages.
till now my status is pending.
