Folks,

for those who are wondering what this blue folder every body is talking about

before appearing for the interview,at a seperate counter each one will be asked to produce ds-156,ds-157 and h1 related documents and hdfc slip. one of the bar code stickers will be sticked to passport and photo on ds-156 is scanned and all the documents are put in a blue folder(file)nd returned back to you. you need to carry this blue folder when you go the interview and this blue file is the first one to be produced to visa officer.

                 So many hurdels, so many pains, long waits and impatience. I eagerly waited for this from past 1 and half year.

Everything this year went under tensions and presuures. But God is Great.

Before starting my Experience, I would like to say one thing here. Dont feel that Chennai Consulate is bad. I have seen so many issued visas in front of me at the day of My Interview.

My Interview Date is November 6th and Slot is 8:00 Am.

After routene checks I turned into the main building. That day there is very less people appeared for the interview.At Max there are 60 people waiting in the Interview Hall.

My Turn Came,

Me: Hello Good Morning .
VO:Hi Sir Good Morning and How are you Today?

Me: Fine. How about you?

and I passed initial folder.

VO: Fine......Wait one monute .

Meanwhile he is checking my details and opened my I 129 and Put pen between page 2 and Page 3. Where he can see my US company details of employees and revenue.

VO: What is your Qualification?
Me: Its Master of Computer Applications, M C A

VO: Tell me Sir, your company XYZ(US Company) into what business?
Me: Information Assurance, Web Technologies, Data Warehousing and Mining, Consulting and GIS.

VO: You are going for InHouse or Client ?
Me: I am going to Client Location.

VO: What is name of your Client?
Me: ABC

Checked some thing in system.

VO: What kind of work you are going to do there?
Me: I am going to work for YYYY project .

VO: OK Sir, I am issuing your Visa. You will get it in 3 working Days.

And passed out my I 797.

I was shocked. Quickly left that place and collected the Stamped Passport at VFS Counter.

Thats it Dudes. He did not ask me a single documnet.

I went into consulate at 7:40 am and I came out at 8:25 am.

Total time taken is 45 minutes.

So I request everybody who are going to attend in Chennai go comfortably.You will get it If you answer well.

what exactly we need to show or give for project information , is there any document to show about project or just an oral explaination is enough

Hello there,...
other than what you have mentioned well u need to have a tax returns from your petitioner i.e your US employer for last two years consolidated is ok but previous year needs to be spilt on quaterly basis.

unemployment wage report is not necessary,
make sure u have
1.Visa appointment letter
2.Latest resume
3.All educational documents
4.Recite company address in US
5.Number of employees as quoted on petition
6.Bank Statement
7.Project documentation
8.if you are on inhouse project - tell project name - explain it clearly in 2-3 short lines
9.No matter what do not say you will be working for any clients, your employer may have clients but you wont be working for them
10.Make sure you have all documents to support your education/ experience.

Lastly why to worry..it not end of the world ...so face the interview just like a typical job interview..,,,ensure you are always loud and clear when you talk to the consular...that would automatically show your confidence...there's no doubt you might shiver your tongue..so you need to be loud and speak words fully

At the counter I passed the blue folder to the VO.He went through the application forms.

Me:Yes
VO :What are you going to do in YYYY company
Me :Explained my role / the phase of the project I would be in / responsibilities
VO :What is the name of your project
Me :Answered
VO :Who are the clients for the company?
Me :Answered
VO:I am approving your visa.You will get your passport in 7 days.

i am Srilatha. I have visa interview on Nov15. I received all the doucments from my employer. but they didn't sent Unemployment wages report and project documnetation. that is INhouse project. so they send only company financial document with sealed cover. number of employees in company is 350.so what i am asking is ................is it necessary to bring unemployementwage at the time of interview. their(sponser company) project documentation will send before 2 days of appointment. that's not a problem. but i get tense for unemployement wage report. can any body suggest me about this

This is for all who have concerns regarding the 221g form issued to them during their visa interview

1. 221G form issued asking for documents of the employers without the passport

---- You are through but not ur company !!!Petitioner is a newly established company or is not so renowned or is under the suspicion of the consulate with regards to the authenticity of the company . Hence all papers have to be sent accurately to the consulate . if the papers are genuine , they will surely ask for ur passport and stamp it also !

2. 221G form issued asking for documents along with paaport .

--- Be happy and confident . You are almost through. They issue a 221G form because either they did not have enough time to review the papers you submitted during the interview or want to revise it before stamping ur passport.

3. 221G form issued asking for documents including ur credentials

--- It indicates that they suspect ur background also . But not to be worried because if ur papers are genuine and you submit them correctly then you are through ..

Only concern -- Time Factor !! it will take 3-4 weeks or maybe several depending on ur luck !!

This year many of my friends have been issued 221g just because the VO did not have time to interview them ..

So dont lose hope if you have been issued a 221G form . Have faith on GOD and on yourself . You ll get through !!!

I had attended for Stamping Yesterday In chennai and it was very bad Experience to me, As I have been issued a 221(g) form says that "additional administration Process" required at the first time only. So guys please help out in this regards, I was really shocked and mood off after I heard such a bad words from VO, The day starting he was very cool and clearing the visas for most of the guys, but after some time there were only 3 guys infront of me and he started to issue the 221(g) to drop the additional Docs at VFS, after that my turn had came and had the below Conversation followed by issuing 221(g) for additional administration process...so guys If anybody faced the same issues or known abt such cases what will happen in next step, please suggest me ...and will there be a chances to get my visa stamped?? otherwise I loosed the all the chances?? It would be really appreciable If u can mail me or give a call to the following numbers...............see the discussion with VO

Me : I Passed him along with Post graduation certificate also..

ME : Yes, I have with me and I passed them which includes Project Market Analysis, Project Description Doc, One letter from ZZZ which gives the brief abt on which Project I ll be working and on which are the Technologies I ll be using...

VO : Then Do u have any Financial Related Docs for ZZZ Company (Petitioner).... (this second started my bad Experience..)..
Me : Yes, I have all the Financial Docs for my Petiotioner..

VO : Can u pass it to me ?
ME : I said Sure and I passed him IT Returns Docs for the last 3 years...

VO : He again Asked me, DO u have any more??
ME : I said YES, I have with me Unemployment Wage Report also for the last 3 quarters (I didn't know Really whther Its a Financial Doc. Even though I passed to him )...he was looking in to them for a min.....then I started to think he will be going to grant my Visa as I provided all the Docs which he had asked me...

VO : Sir, I need to have a more Review on these Docs before making final decision, So I ll be sending for additional Adminisration Process,once the process comletes we will contact you...and I ll be giving your passport back to you.. by passing 221(g) blue form to me
Me : Ok sir, thank you

VO : All the Best, sir
ME : then I asked, Sir,Can I get small clarification from you...

VO : Sure
ME : No need of dropping any docs from my End.

VO : No Sir, we ll contact you once its done
