Issued 221g for the second time and asking for the a letter from client end saying that there is a vacancy for me.
Can any client issue a letter like this.
Since it is a inhouse project which i have explain to VO.
Can anyone help who has got 221g and got stamping after that. Most of the cases are spending and we all need help.

H1b Stamped @ Chennai 4th Jan
Hi all,
I have been a constant reader of this site for the past 1 year or so.
I am working presently in the middle east and had been to india on vacation when I got the H1 stamped.
My experience in brief:
* went in morning to consulate , about half hr before int time (went at 7, int at 7:30 AM).
showed appmt letter and passport to get inside. (no mobiles or bags allowed, plastic covers n files were allowed).
* Inside was asked to wait. The VFS guy said "H1/L1/H4 is going to take more time. BEP candidates r going to take even more time." and started calling people for B1/B2 etc.
* after half an hour was asked to go to next building. There at the entrance, gave my folio (since my employer was BEP , was carrying a green folder) to the VFS lady at the entrance and went inside and waited.
* After 15 mins they came with the files and calle dout names and i took mine.
* Now stood in the queue for finger printing. First the left index, then the right index.
* after that waited for another 15 min, was asked to join the queue for BEP employees.
* After abt 20 min in the queue my turn came.
The interview:

Nothing special. None of the project details n addresses n fone numbers i had mugged up. were asked.
VO: Good Morning
Me: Good Morning.
VO: Who is your client
Me: pardon me (didnt hear the question)
VO: slightly irritated .. Who is ur client
Me: YYYY XX
VO: I have never heard of them ???
Me: They are a YYYY X. (To that i added helpfully.. My petitioner is YYYYY).
VO: I know that sir.
After some time..
VO: Ur visa is approved. It will be couriered in 2 days time.
Me: Thank you.
Documents I carried:

Company had arranged the docs in a green folio (for BEP) with DS 156,HDFC receipt,I-797,Photocopy of petition set (including LCA,edu evaluation etc etc), copy of passport pages, BEP letter.
I carried documents related to education , experience letters. Nothing else. I was a bit scared if Vo would ask for project details doc or somthing but nothing was asked.

got 221g aap on sep7th 2006;
Guys,
I was issued 221g for additional administrative processing at chennai consulate on Sep 7th 2006.All my mails typically will get responses saying that they are yet to complete processing and would let me know once its done.
Till now I got no update from consulate. My question is has any body who had get 221g aap on that unfortunate day and got any positive/negative response from consulate.

i went to consulate last week,and came out with 221(g). thay asked me one document saying that
" please get me a contract document between my employer and the cleint which i am going to work for.
and asked me to come over ince again with all those docs in person.
"
after that he ticked all 221 g list , (VO is not seeing any listed documents in 221g form ,even though i am having handy )
once i get the docs , i am plannng to go .
just i thought of sharing , and i shared , if u have any queries related to H1 , i will try to share .

First of all, thanks a lot to this forum, which has helped me prepare well for my PA.
Here is how my day has gone.
Appointment at 1:45 PM. Reached the embassy @ 12:30 PM. Luckily there was no queue and they allowed me inside almost immediately
a) Document verification
- Please write your name in Native tounge in column 3 of DS-157
- DS-157 Mention INDIA in field 10.
b) Finger print scanning
c) Interview
VO was a guy. He was very cool. He was issuing visas to everyone. He approved 3 visas in 1 minute and suddenly I was the next.

VO: How long have you been working in [Current Company]
VO: Is it an in-house project or client project

Hi Can anyone tell is 221G query treated as refusal?
Last year I got query 2 times , again this year I am trying with different H1 petition papers. So while taking appointment, they are asking whether H1b refused 2 times in 12 months? SO what answers should I give? I am thiking 221G query is not treated as refusal of H1.
Please guys suggest me on this.
