H1B 221g and approval slip handed by VO
Currently I am in H1B visa. My interview was on Dec 3rd 11:30 am in Chennai consulate.

VO: asked for passport docs
VO: company name, salary, place of employment
Me: stated these
VO: Are you employed directly with company or are they your client?
Me: directly employed with company
VO: Ok I am giving you this slip but this doesn’t mean refusal. My system is not working and not going to next page. There is an issue with the system. The person before you had the same situation and I had to hand this slip. I have never ever encountered this situation in the past.
Me: ok what is this when would you make decision
VO: hopefully this afternoon hope soon. As soon as system is backup I can verify this is legit application and can approve. It is most likely approved but need to check in system. Here is the approval slip please keep this as well. Once approved it takes 3-5 business days to get passport
Me: ok thanks is there anything I need to do or need to appear again
VO: no no need.
VO kept passports with him and attached something (possibly to process later???)

This is so weird that he hasn’t seen this situation, I checked with my lawyer she also is not aware of this type of situation. I know for sure there is at least one other person who was before me in the line had the same case. I wonder why they cannot simply redirect me to a different counter if his system is having issues. Looked like the other counters had decisions made without issues.

If any of you had similar case please share your experience. My status still shows as admin processing. Based on what VO said I was hoping he would clear it same day and would show as approved by now, but no.

H1B Visa stamping interview Chennai
This website has helped me a lot and so I want to share my experience. I went for my MS and I got my H1B picked in my last attempt. After that I switched 2 employers. I went back to India after 5 years (I hadn't traveled during my OPT period.) I was a bit worried about stamping because I thought I stayed in US for long (immigration intent) and my F1 Visa experience in June and I got my H1B in October.

During biometrics, they just asked my D.O.B and nothing much as expected.

During stamping interview:

Interviewer : Good morning, may I see DS160 confirmation page.
Me : Good morning, *I handover ds160 confirmation page* how are you?
I : I'm good. May I see I797.
Me : *I handover my i797*
I : Who is your petitioner and what is your salary?
Me : I answered according to my i129.
I : Where is work location?
Me : I answered accordingly.

Interviewer goes through my file for sometime. She enters my case status number on a blue sheet.

I : where you out of status?
Me : No.
I : did you ever switch school?
Me : No.

Interviewer hands over all the documents other than passport. And she told me, we don't need anything from you. We are going to process internally and you will get to know in a week.

I got my passport stamped in a week.

Intend to Work column in DS160
Hey Guys, I've a recent H1B visa interview scheduled and I've already filled and submitted DS160 as well as blocked an interview date. But still I'm confused on what to fill under "Intend to work" column on the very last page of DS160. I work under EVC model and have seen mixed response for this. Few entered Client details (Employer name as Client name & address as Client Address) whereas few entered only their petitioner employer details and both gets approved. Please let me know what shall I enter in this column, I'll resubmit my DS160. Again I work for EVC model and my petitioner employer is in different state and Client located in diff state. Thanks

First time F1 to H1b stamping in 221G
Hello All,

My Visa Interview was at Delhi Consulate on September 10 and I received a 221g blue slip and the VO asked me to submit the documents online.

I have submitted all the documents the next week and there is no update since then. Its been almost 90 days and I have no update yet. Is there anything that I can do to find out the status. I am checking the status on CEAC website everyday and the status is still the same "Administrative processing" updated on September 10.

I work on EVC model. Anybody have similar experience?
