H1B, H4 Visa

Hi,

 I would like to thanks to all people who kept the information in this forum.

 First I went for stamping on March 16th 2006 and got 221g asking more details on product description and lease documents.

My Employeer sent all the docs and again I have appeared for an interview on April 12th 2006.

This time Visa officier did not ask much questions and just gone through some of the docs.

He has satisfiled with the docs and provided the VISA.

hi guys this is really a wonderfull site and heartfull thanks for one and all.

  i went to consulate in april for h1b my time was 10.00 a.m i got my chance before 10.00 a.m and vo was a young lady.

me:good morning
vo:very good morning
me:gave the folder
vo:do u have any supporting documents for the employer
me:gave offer letter and a letter addressing to consulate from my emplyer
vo:looking at them she told those documents were prepared by me
me:no those documents came from my employer
vo:she went inside for 10 min and came back asked my degree certificates
me:mine is MCA gave the certificates verified everything
vo:so what do u do in usa
me:explained saying that iam going to work at clinet location
vo:she just took blue form asking complete itenary,location of the work,a letter from employer market analysys documents and etc she ticked on atleast 4 check boxes in the form


that is my experience my frieds .

I had dropped docs thru TTS 2 months back. Now I got an email from consulate asking me to contact them over the phone. What does this mean? Anyone with same exp please share...

i attended my interview at delhi on 13 of dec 2005 then they redirected to chennai.
till i not attended interview at chennai and im planning to attending on 13 of may.so the problem is the is there any prob with the gap period .if it is effect for my visa issue kindly suggest me

Hi there,

My wife attended her H4 interview on April 26th morning and got her visa. We opted for the Rush service and have been going to the VFS office every day. But even after 3 days, the VFS office still says that they have not received the passport from the consulate.

Just wondering how long it would take for the consulate to return the passport?

Has anyone been in similar situations before? If yes, let me know if we could contact someone in the visa office to know the status.

There is no word to express the appreciation for this site and people who are member of this site. I would say It’s a gateway for your h1b visa who are going to us consulate first time.

I ‘m reading the experiences of peoples from past six months. Initially my self and my wife appeared in consulate in Feb. first week and here how my Interview went on after all initial process
Me:Hello(handed over the green file folder which contains all my docs)
VO:Hello

VO:Asked me and my wife to do finger prints
Me:We did that

VO:For which company are you going to united states ?
Me: YYYY

VO:Asked me for degree certificate
Me:Given a file(I had given transparent file folder which contained all my mark sheets, degree certificate, exp letters and offer letters and appreciation certificates )

VO:Gone through file and then went inside, probably to verify degree certificate with some one else.( I believe they have expert people and sophisticated database to verify all this things)
Me:Just waiting for VO response

VO:Returned my file
VO:Started going through other papers like cover letter from employer and other docs like I797,LCA etc, after some time started searching on his computer and was busy in searching some things
Me:Waiting for his response

VO:After 5 min he asked me do u have any other information about your employer
Me:No, whatever I had its with you(‘coz in that green folder I had given every docs what my employer has given)

VO:Do you have any company photographs?
Me:Yes, given the photographs
VO:Where you will be working, client site or employers place?
Me:Employers place with some client project
Guys here, It is rarely accepted that you will be working for client and that even at employers place in united states ‘coz most of the project which are not executing at client site are off shored to India and other countries. And if we say we will do it on employers place than there should be proper background of employer in executing a project in past history
VO:Do you have any evidence ?
Me:Sir I had given you letter in which it has mentioned that I’ll be working at employers place and with XYZ project for ABC client
Here It seems Visa officer was not satisfied and given back all the docs
VO:Now he asked me my marriage proof certificates
Me:My wife shown our engagement album and marriage certificates
VO:Picked up Blue form now
Me:I politely asked , sir I wanted to say something before you do anything further
VO:Go ahead
Me:Sir I had given you the information about my project and client then why you are not satisfied?
VO:(here VO is a very young guy must be between 25-30 yrs age and very cool answering all q’s in cool manner) Sir, We want to make sure you have job waiting in united states other wise you will suffer there in terms of pay and we don’t want to create any inconvenience to you and this doc is not sufficient to convince me
VO:Given the 221(g) asked for project description, itinerary of services for the time you will be in united states and photographs of site where you will be deployed. And he mentioned on blue form document that your wife need not return only make sure you carry her passport. And come any time between 9am-12am on Tue,Wed,Thu
Me:Took the form and came back

After 2 months my employer sent me all this documents and I appeared in consulate for second time in April 2nd week . I reached consulate around 9am and surprisingly there was no queue here and got in directly inside after security check. After this I went to counter where they had given me file folder again with all require documents. This time 221(g) candidates were given less priority and asked to wait for some time and I waited almost 3-4 hrs Finally around 2:15 my turn came up and in my row almost maximum candidate were having 221(g).

VO:Hello!
Me:Hello! given the folder

VO:With out looking any documents directly asked me where are you going to work
ME:TTTTTT

VO:Do you have documents?
Me:Given the documents

VO:Gone Inside, and came back in 2 minutes and after that started some search on his computer and almost after 4 mins he started collecting all my papers except passport and DS forms and given me back and after that he was keeping my passport and DS forms in green folder and in parallel was telling me go and pay your fee at counter no 1, Here I did not heard properly what he was saying but understood that he approved my Visa ‘coz he kept only passports and DS forms. I was shocked is it so easy? but this time it happened with all god’s grace and luck. So Guys be confident and believe in god I’m sure success will be yours

One more very Important thing – Don’t get disappoint if you get 221(G) ‘coz I understand 221(G) is only to test your patience level under bad circumstance and if you win in keeping patience than you will surely get visa

After 3 working days I received my Passport with visa stamped and next day I received passport of my wife with visa stamped.

I recently went to chennai consulae. i was stamped application received and written 'g'. but i was returned the same old 221g. so what does it mean. can i enter once again or i should not.
