bad luckk
Hi,
in nov i got 221 g for mkt analysis. and in december when i went i got same 221g for mktg analysis with financials. I went in april 3rd week for the THird time. I took all the required docs. I submitted the same , the officer took the project description doc and typed keywords in search and it threw results of some "mnop" company. he asked me, is your "abc" company related with "mnop". I said in no. then he searched for some other words and then told me, your ABC company is not having this project developing at them. I said they are developng it but he answered that, project description is without technical description and also the general descriptio of the project is not of your ABC company. He Told, I am returning all your docs and returned all the docs.even 221g same document was returned. Told me to come back only if ABC company gives original project description and technical description. This was indeed a bad luck for me, since the company "MNOP" which was refered was the first search record in the search engine. Can anybody tell if still i have changes of getting visa if my ABC company gives a revamped writeup and a letter carrying about the project. earlier occasion only 221g was given on passport, but this time "application received" was stamped. can anybody tell, any hopes alive or is my petetion rejected. But i have been returned all the docs(pp,221g form, petetion etc).
SOMEBODY got visa issuuance letters to homes after few months of the petetion rejections. can anyone tell, did they witheld the petetion when it was rejected for them.

ALL THE BEST FRIENDS, HERE AT CHENNAI CONSULATE , I THINK 221G IS MANADATORY.
In my H1 paper the DOB is mentioned wrong. How can we correct it?, What should we do if we are going tho the consulate without correcting the DOB. Can we show the passport as the proof? Is there anybody faced such a problem
Had been for my H1B visa on 20th April at US Embassy London .
First time i had been on Feb 1st 2006 and the Visa officer was happy with my documents else for the fact he wanted to see my final Degree Certificate of my Masters Completion here in London and had issued me 221(g) saying need UK DEGREE CERTIFICATE.
So this time I had the document which did support that I had completed my Masters ...... I just got my visa in less than 5 minutes as was hardly asked questions as my previous interview did last more than 30-40mins !!!
I got my passport back today with my 3yr H1B visa on it !!
If there are people going for their H1B u can contact me on my mobile 0044 7766065784 if you need any assistance !!!
I had my interview on April 12th, 2006 at the Mumbai Consulate.
My interview was scheduled at 8.30 AM; I reached the consulate at 8.10, and was called in at 8.20 AM. After the security
check, we were let inside to collect the folder (which contains DS 156/157, issuance fee DD etc) from a VFS agent. We were
guided to Window 1, for getting the finger scanned. Once the scanning was done, I was requested to wait till the name was
called.
At around 9.45 AM, my name was called for the consulate officer interview. The officer was a young fellow; seemed to have
good experience at the consulate. After the formal greetings, I was asked for how long I was working with my current company.
Once answered, the second question was why I was leaving the present company (the company I work for currently is one of the
top IT companies in the world). I answered by saying that I would like to specialize in the field of my expertise and the new
company seem to provide me with the correct exposure and knowledge. I was not asked any other question, the officer said the
passport will be couriered to my address. After the farewell greetings, I left the consulate office and after 5 PM I went to
the VFS office to collect the passport manually.
Based on my interview experience and by seeing the other interviews, I think a successful stamping depends upon, to a certain
extent, ones luck and how the officer perceives you. The consulate officers, being trained in behavioral patterns, can obtain
a general impression about the candidate, between the time the officer sees the candiate for the first time and the initial
greetings. Once the officer feels confident about the legitimacy of the candidate, he is most certain to issue the visa.
However, if the officer does not feel confident enough, there will be a thorough verification process that could lead to
either a successful or unsuccessful stamping.
A few things that helped me and that I hope might help each one of us.
1. Be confident and have a pleasing smile throughout the time you are at the consulate
2. Be thorough and complete with your job profile and ensure that you can describe the job profile to a novice clearly and in
a way that it can be easily understood
3. Have a sound knowledge about the company processing your Visa
4. There will be general questions like the reason you want to work in the US, the reason you want to change the company, the
reason you are working in an area different from your core competency etc. Be sure you are prepared to answer these questions
clearly. Work with your friends to ensure that the answers are clear and concise
5. While speakig to the officer, be sure that you are speaking clearly, slowly and confidently. Again, practise with your
friends if you doubt your speaking skills
6. Hope all will be well and do your best
I shall be checking this site regularly. Please let me know if you have any questions or need any clarification.
Anybody plz help me ....regarding the Marketing Analysys details.I have to face my interview in the month of May.Could anyone plzz forward the template / format to my mail.
First of all thanks for immihelp.com and all of the guys contributed here.
I had my first interview in 4th week of Feb'06 and visa got rejected under section 221(g).
I have stampings from 4 different countries and passport full with different countries visas and frequent travel stamps. I was very confident of getting visa with my experience of working in several contries and good educational background.(I have PG degree in engineering (but not a computer related degree) from top tech college in india).
To my surprise, I got rejected under sec 221(g) and asked to get more documentation from end client (not from immeidate employer) and travle itenary. My employer did not provided with end client letter for obvious reasons (no one gives you letter unless you are actually working with the end client, so my employer got resource agreement between my employer and end client) and few other details about their relation.
I attend at chennai consulate personally again on 4th week of Apr'06. This time it was very good interview and successfully got my visa and waiting for passport arrival.
One of the consulate staff has given us some instructions on how to deal with VO and how to answer the questions etc...It was quite good one and I must say, it helped me a lot on that moment.
So please note that, listen to the question carefully and asnwer what is exactly required. Do not give unncessary lenghty asnwers. There are in no mood to listen your lengthy stories. They are doing the same job for years and saw many like us and listened to all kind of answers. Please be specific. Be releaxed.....remember this is not end of world. Take a deep breath and approach VO with smile and say hello mam/sir....Be confident...dont get confused or do not angry with VO at any cost.....They are there to help us and please cooperate with them........
I wish you all the best.
Any questions, please do not hesitate to post here and I will reply.......
Thanks to the site and people who shared their experience which are truely valuable. First time I took all the documents including project details, w2 forms, photos but was refused mentioning additional administrative processing. After 4 weeks I contacted them by mail and a week later, I received a post asking for notarised lease agreement and photos. I went in person second time and was asked whether I am going to work for same project or different. After verificaiton of papers, visa was approved. If you take correct documents as asked and present your body language confidently, I believe everyone have good chances.
Friends,
I have attended H1B on Jan30th, They issued me 221(g) form asking that Internal project details.
I have submited the Internal project document via dropbox on 13th April. When I expect the passport back and what are the chances for getting visa for me.
Please let me know how many days it takes for dropbox 221(g) dropbox option process.
