Got Successful Visa stamping after 221g
Hi

First of all, let me thank you all for posting all ur experience. After getting 221g on april 5th, I was really tensed. The VO asked for more details on my project. Again, I went for the interview on 12th April. I reached there at 8.30 am. Since, I carried the required doc(the in-house project details), the VO did not ask me any questions. After checking my doc..the VO told me to pay the fees.

Those of you who have got 221g, please dont panic. Whenever you appear next time, please dont forget to carry another copy of 156 and 157, apart from the extra information what the VO expects. Please carry all the documents whatever you carried for your first interview.

Wish you all good luck..All the best !!!

got 221g on feb22
Hi,

I had my h1-interview on 22nd feb06.
I got 221g asking for client letter.

My employer in US is a consultant and he is refusing to send any client letter as the client will not sign any such document.

now iam going to consular office again with a in-house project letter instead of a client-letter; explaining the project descriptions and my responsibilities.

Can any one suggest me whether this works?
Does I-129 required everytime we visit consular office?
How does it matter since iam going after two and a half months after i got 221g?

please anyone with similar experience/knowledge, reply.

regarsd,
sandeep.

Got H1B after 221(g)
Hi Friends,

First of all, thanks a ton for the members and users of this site, the experiences posted here were of immense help for me. Here is my experience:

My first interview for H1 was on 3rd March, 2006. It was scheduled at 1 PM. The following questions were asked:

Me: Good Afternoon sir.
VO: Good afternoon. Give me the documents.

He asked me about the client company and verified my B.Tech degree and then asked for the client letter. I showed him the servie agreement between my company and the client. He was not satisfied with that and mentioned that 'this does not have a value in court'!! I tried explaining him about my employer and all legitimate federal tax returns, no of employees etc etc. I must admit that the officer was a very nice one. He was patient in listening and finally very clearly explained to me that why he needs a client letter. He told me that, The filing was done quite some time back and he wants to make sure that the position is still valid and they need my service. I was even very flexible and gave me both the option (drop service or personal meet) in 221(g).

After a month I went to the Chennai consulate with a client letter, which clearly mentioned that the client was waiting for more number of resources to be deployed as per the master service agreement. On this day, I entered the consulate at 8:30 Am. One officer took all the required documents along with the client letter, asked me to wait. The wait was over 4 hours! And there were other guys with 221(g), and they were also asked to wait. what we could infer later that, the officer to whom we appeared first, does not take H1 with 221(g) cases, rather forwards to another officer (might be a senior or h1-221g expert). The second officer called my name first after an wait over 4 hours. He started asking general questions like the project and what kind of work the client does. Then comes the surprize, he said the client is not registered to do business in New York city. I mentioned about their web site address. Then even after having so much information from the internet, he said, anybody can have a web page. Then I said the client company might be doing business in a different name and mentioned that already there is a consultant of my employer working for this client. Then he checked something again, looked happy and said ok go and pay your fees. I thanked him and paid the fees. After two days I rcvd the passport by courier.
My suggession is not to loose the focus and don't be nervous. Officers ask certain question to confuse you or to check your smartness. and finally don't panic and be tension free.

All the best...
regards,
Aakash.
