VFS Indian passport renewal issues new york
My Renew passport in tatkal service has been reached to Vfs new york on 11/13th and till now i didn't get any sms update or email. When i track with govt reference number it always says invalid inputs.anyone experienced the same? They doest have any support service except twitter.

VFS Passport Renewal Process

I did my passport renewal via CKGS. I have to help my uncle and aunt renew their passport which is going to expire in a few months. I have not experienced the VFS website yet. VFS website recommends that we fill out Govt. India website form/application first, and then come back to the VFS website, and continue the application process there. What do you all recommend? Can someone please outline brief steps for this process?

Missing signature on the first page of application
I recently submitted my application to SFO consulate but i forgot to sign at the first page of application where after pasting the photograph on the first page below that the signature must have been there and got an E-Mail from vfs global regarding the same but E-Mail is missing any other information like do I need to send only that one page with the required signature or send all documents?. If I send the missing signature page what other information should i attach with that page such that they know that the missing page is for my application.
Can I re-use the courier label i had before? Any help regarding this matter is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Stressful passport renewal experience at SF consulate
My recent experience with renewing passport at the SF consulate. Super long and stressful , especially as I was in middle of H1 transfer . Hopefully this helps others
Oct 7th — Docs reached CKGS
Oct 9th — Everything verified and reached consulate
Oct 30th — Got police verification email
Nov 2nd — Father went to police station with aadhar card / passport copy to get verification done
Nov 9th — Status on India govt. website changed to “Print Initiated”
Nov 13th — Status changed to “Printed and will be delivered shortly
Nov 18th — Got UPS notification that package ready to be picked up . (Nothing from CKGS or consulate)
Nov 19th — Got passport in morning
I called consulate a zillion times, no answer. Emailed them zillion times no response. One day I even just went to the consulate directly to see if they can help. Nothing.
They were super rude and basically told me to fck off “dont come here unnecessarily . It will be dispatched, no pickup, did someone tell you to come here ? Why are you here? Dont stand here. Go home” . Many other people were there who were in same situation.
Try calling their emergency number, it’s in one of the images if you search for “SF india consulate” on yelp. But i didnt get any help here either.
Luckily i got the passport . Glad that I dont have to deal with this crp for another 10 years now.

Passport Application Tracking in VFS
Hello Everyone !
First of all ,thanks to this community. I was able to complete my passport renewal application in VFS (Crappiest website ever) .
I am trying to track the status in the following VFS website,

On the reference number section I tired both VFS tracking number that starts with USA and also the government issued tracking number .
Nothing seems to be working . Though I can track the application on government website, I feel application has to get past VFS to enter into Embassy.
People here who had success in retrieving the application could help by sharing the way they did .

VFS global passport application does not let me add a new customer throws error "Passport number does not allow only alpha characters."
After creating a profile in VFS global, I'm not able to add a new customer.
When I provide all the details it throws an error "Passport number does not allow only alpha characters."

Passport renewal stuck at ' under review in consulate's. Applied through CKGS
I had applied for passport renewal through the ckgs website. From October 19 , the status in the website shows ' Under review at the consulate' It's been a month now, it's so concerning. I am also not able to connect with CKGS. Let me know if anyone has faced any similar situation

VFS passport renewal for expired passport
I'm trying to apply for renewal of my expired passport in VFS and the new application form has no option for expired passport, there is only options for going to expire. I've reached out to them, just wondering if anyone else used some other option and succeeded in getting the passport.
