CKGS website not showing any update for passport renewal application
Dear friends,
I have been looking at CKGS website but there is no update at all about the passport status. Using UPS tracking ID I see that package got delivered to CKGS office on Monday ( 4th Oct 2020). Today is Oct 8th 2020. CKGS website its not even showing 'Received'. Has anyone had any such issue before. CKGS call center is closed and they are not even responding to my email.
Kindly share your experiences and suggest me way forward.

Hi,

- I am not able to log in to My account with the WEB reference number.
- I am not able to buy CKGS shipping option. The only option I am getting is using own Airway bill option.
- If I ship documents with UPS- Does it mean that is prepaid shipping. Also, Do I have to send Prepaid Envelope for return shipping or return label will work?
I am stuck at the payment options and don't know how to proceed.

Question on passport application through CKGS

I am trying to complete my passport renewal application through CKGS and would need some advice on the following issues I am facing:
1. I am not given an option to chose the CKGS shipping and the only option I am presented is to use my own AWB number. How do I buy the shipping label from CKGS?
2. In the payment screen it says that I can fill in my payment details later from 'My Account' section, but it will not allow me to proceed without providing the cashier check details. (Cashier check is the only option presented to me)
3. I am unable to login to my account using the web reference number, DOB and passport number. It says information mismatch while I was able to retrieve my application using the same information.

Under Process at SFO Consulate from 9th Sep
I have applied for Passport renewal at SFO consulate. On sept 1st CKGS informed about Incomplete document and then we sent it again. Incomplete documents were received on 8th Sep. on Sep 9th the status changed to Under process at consulate. There is no update after that. There is no address change request, address is same Indian address as mentioned in old passport. Trying to contact CKGS through feedback site, but no Response as of now.Does any one know how to expedite the process or whom to contact. I need the passport urgently for my coming up travel.

Passport renewal - Houston - police verification
I got mail about police verification and police has reached my house for verification in few days. They have asked to submit photo / aadhar copy to police station the next day. Did anyone else have similar experience and what documents were submitted for police verification. Wanted to check other options as my mother is here with me.

This forum was helpful in my passport renewal process and hence sharing my recent passport renewal experience. I applied for a passport renewal under the normal process and it took about 16 calendar days for the overall process. (Sept 11 - Sept 26, 2020)
Services Opted: Change of Appearance and Addition of Spouse Name
Shipping: Used CKGS UPS shipping service. Recommend using it as it was reliable and fast. One thing to keep in mind is the weight is limited to 0.5lbs, so please ensure the document weight doesn't exceed that. My package was at ~0.55lbs (at least that's what it was showing at UPS) but upon receipt at CKGs, the weight was recorded as 0.5lbs. I was worried that my package may be returned but it wasn't the case.

Police verification query
I had recieved my passport within 16 days through normal processing. I had recieved an email a week later post applying regarding the police verification. My family visited the local police station twice already and went to SP office as well to check on my case. They mentioned no case has come yet. In the police verification email it states that I need to contact police if they don't reach out to me within 3 weeks. I am not sure If I need to contact or since the passport has recieved does this matter now.
Can my family visit and share the documents to police and request them to send it to passport seva kendra post 3 weeks?

Indian Passport Renewal from US - Not adding spouse name after marriage
I am facing an issue with my application on online portal of Indian government passport seva application.
I reside in USA and for indian passport renewals should go through Cox and Kings.
I am married but I don't want to add my spouse's name. on CKGS application, I have given the marital status as married but did not select the option to add spouse's name.
Problem is on the Indian government passport seva application, if I select martial status as "Married" on their online form, then their online form makes it mandatory to provide spouse's name.
Anyone knows how to proceed with this situation? Is it ok to submit my application to CKGS and they will take care of it? Or is providing spouse's name after marriage for a reissue of passport mandatory?
Any advice or suggestion will be very helfpful.
