Passport application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate with SFO from 12/20/2020
I got an email from VFS on 12/17/20 that my application sent to embassy.
After that there was an update at the passport website tracking said "application received" and it changed to "Passport application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate" around 12/20 and its been the same till date.
anyone has the same issue? how long will it take to get passport renewed from SFO office?
can somebody please provide me the Washington DC embassy email address to get the update on my children's passport renewal. The status is showing on passport seva "Passport application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate" from last 10 days. i dont see any further update on it.
Timeline: Tatkal passport service in New York via VFS global.
I applied for a Tatkal service. It seems like it's such a WASTE of money as VFS Global is very UN-ORGANIZED. Here's my timeline.
1) 12/28 -Fedex courier has been reached
2)12/29- Got email from VFS that package has been received and check the status after 48-72 hours
3) 01/05- I've been trying to track, but the VFS tracking system is not working.
4) 01/06 - 01/08 - I reached out to VFS so many times but it's useless because they'll keep sending templated reply that someone will reach out to you shortly which ofcourse NO ONE ever does. Also, if you call them, they'll charge you $2.50 per minute (first 5 minutes free) but it's also useless because they don't have any information. They'll also look at the system and will try to find the updates so you are pretty much wasting the time.
5) 01/11 -After so much frustration, I reached out to New York consulate today. I'm hoping that they'll be better (as per google reviews) but let's SEE.
I have to fly to Mexico this week so I applied for Tatkal service and paid $150 extra but it's a fraud service.
My passport application got delivered to VFS on November 17th,2020. Got an update on December 1st saying that they forwarded the application to embassy. But when I checked on the government website there isn't any update that they have received the application. I raised multiple PRAMIT requests to check on the status, but the NY embassy always said they haven't received my application yet. When I checked with VFS at the same time, according to them it was forwarded to embassy all the time. I made multiple calls and mailed them but its always the same status. I wasn't sure what was happening, so I raised a grievance on MADAD on December 17th. On December 26th, I got an update from VFS saying that there is a technical issue and the passport is still under process at the VFS center only and that they would forward to embassy soon. When I check with them this week they are again saying that they have forwarded the application to embassy but the VFS website itself shows that it's under process at the VFS center only. They are giving conflicting updates.
This is really worrying. It has been more than 7 weeks and don't know where my passport is. Has anyone faced this delay like this? Please help with any suggestions.
Please find the timeline
1) 12/24 -Fedex courier has been reached
2)12/25- Got email from VFS packet has been received and check the status after 48-72 hours( Dont check the status until getting the tracking number which means once they open the packet then only they will add into the system with tracking ) you will see invalid inputs if you are checked meanwhile.
3)01/05-Got email from VFS we started reviewing your application and sent tracking number which is the government reference number it is also called ARN.I checked with the tracking number (Government reference number or ARN) It is saying it is under process/Review with VFS.
4) I will keep posted the updates.
Annexure - E has fixed length textboxes and some characters are not visible once we print the form.
My name is more than 25 letters and it doesn't fit in the textbox? Can I fill Annexure - E handwritten?
