Chennai - L1B, L2 - Approved - 13th Aug
My L1B and L2 (Spouse and Daughter) was approved in Chennai on 13th Aug 2015.

Our appointment time was 10:30AM and we went early around 9:40 AM. The staff were only checking for the stamp of bio metric (that was done for us, a day before) and allowing you to get inside the premises after security check.

However one of the gaurd asked us to even keep the baby stuff outside as the process would last only for 10 mins (Indeed it was 10 mins). The staff inside was very cooperative and supportive.

They helped me arrange my papers and asked me to submit the VISA fees. Then went ahead to bio metric verification counter. And then to VISA queue.

As we were with baby, they put us to first in one of the queue.

VO called us, interview started:

VO greeted us, and we responded back with smile.

Following questions were asked to me:
Which company you are working for?
How long have you been with this company?
What is your specialization?
Which client are you working for?
Are these products YYYY already sold to client YYYY?
How long you would be there?

*VO was typing all the time.

Following questions to my wife:
When did u get married?
Do you have only one child now?
Where are you relocating to?

PS: Confidence and Eye contact is the key.
VO was checking for eye contact in between.
As far as possible provide short and crisp answers.

I owe this post, as I got a good boost to my confidence by going they all the posts. This really helps!

Keep posting your experience as it might help someone!

L1 A Approved on July 15th
Want to thank this forum for the fundamental reason that you'll have an clear idea of the pattern of questions. For me exactly the questions were very similar as shared by others.

1) Reason for travelling
2) Explain the Program you will be managing
3) How many Direct reportees and their designations? (Pl note direct reportees should be PM's)
4) What is the designation of folks reporting into PM's?
5) WHat is your work location?

Interview lasted just for 1.5 mins and he started typing in the system and gave me the Approved I129 S.

Already I had 6+ Program Management experience in US might have helped I think so.

Key is to be confident , and just answer in a crisp and clear manner in.

L1B Denied
Date &Time : 11 Aug, 2015, 8:30 AM
Location- chennai

My L1 visa got regected today for a silly reason and a pure bad luck.
The lady consulate asked me to show my support letter (which they usually dont even look at, dont know why she asked mine), there she picked up a blunder mistake where it was written that my tool is a properotory to client. I tried to convince her that it is a properiority tool of my company and not t he client but she was very strict and straifgt away I was rejected to apply in a diff category of visa.

so want to advice you that please review ur doc as many times as possible.
rest of the questions were easy lykl salary , designation and duration of travel before she asked me to provide the letter.

Also , other consulates are easy going , so tried to avoid the counter no -21 where the lady is taking the interview.

L1A Blanket - approved Chennai
Thanks for all the help I got from this site in clearing the interview for L1A Blanket.
The questions are all the same what have been put forward already by other experience.

Just few more things -
Date of Interview - 6/August/2015, 10 AM
Though the time in the appointment is mentioned at 10 AM, but the queue doesn't check that. Actually I entered the consulate at around 9:30 AM. So, you may go early even if your time is different. The display board inside was not working, so everything was manual. There are people inside who helped in arranging the documentation.
