Here i want to write about DS160 correction.
If the verification officer found any mistake in DS160 form they will ask you to correct it and also they will give one form.outside of OFC office there will be auto drivers waiting to make cash from this situation,
they will take you to Browsing center,at browsing center one person will help you to correct the DS160 form ,they will charge 300 rupees, after correction auto driver will drop you at OFC office and he will charge 100 rupees. All this will take hardly 10 minutes, this time no need to stand in queue again.(for correction no other documents required they will get data from old DS160 form)

L1-B approved @ Chennai Oct 27, 2014
Please find my visa interview experience below

VO: Good morning. Passport please.
Me: Good morning. (Passed the passport & visa docs with smile)
VO: What is your company all about?
Me: My company is so & so (interrupted)
VO: No, What kind of company?
Me: IT services company providing services in various domains like Embedded, Automotive, banking etc.
VO: What’s your designation?
Me: Project Engineer (She was confirming it in the screen)
VO: Software or Hardware?
Me: Software
VO: So you are applying for L1 specialization category visa? (checking it in the docs)
Me: Yes
VO: What is your specialization?
Me: explained
VO (curiously): You developed this?
Me: Yes, along with the team
VO: What is this all about?
I explained it clearly like what it does & benefits.
VO: What will be your duties with this tool during the stay?
I said two proposed duties with little details.
VO: So you will be providing just the technical support to clients?
Here I said yes & explained in detail how much specialization is required for providing the technical support.
VO: Ok. (Doing something)
After few seconds
VO: Thanks for taking pain in explaining me the things clearly. I am approving your visa (Giving two sets of docs)
Me: Thank you.

Confidence is very important. Even if you are not sure about answers, don’t show it. Speaking close to the microphone on the side & maintaining eye contact with the officer also matters!!

Note: Three copies of blanket petition I797(only first page) is required.

L1 B Blanket denied at Chennai
After a successful L1 B Blanket in 2011, I faced the denial this time.

The main interview appointment was for 9 am. Reached the consulate at around 8:30 and got in the long queue. It was by 10 am that I got into the consulate.

After the initial draft deposit and finger printing procedures, the main interview happened.

VO: Good Morning
I: Good Morning Sir

VO: What will be your salary in US?
I: My yearly salary would be XYZ and as well get ABC perks and incentives.

VO: Where will you be going in US?
I: I will be going to ABC city.

VO: What is your specialization?
I: Explained my specialization

The VO started typing, till this point he was totally in agreement and nodded for approval.

Just then someone came to talk to him from behind and he switched off the speaker phone and started talking to the person.

After around 90 seconds, he turned back, switched on the speaker and said, you have been alloted blanket visa once and at this stage I must talk to the HR to go for the individual petition.

He then gave me the blue letter with the line for individual petition checked.

Cant understand what really happened?? I have a pretty good record while in US and have US stays of 7-8 month / year in the 3 years with visa.

Any guidance??

L2 Visa Approved for Husband @ Chennai Consulate
I had my L2 Visa approved on the 14th of Oct, 2014 @ Chennai consulate.

I was on an L1 Visa from 2011 to 2014. My firm had then applied for an extension (I-129) which was denied in late September, so left the US 2 days after I got to know of the denial. (Yes, overstayed for 2 days)

Had then applied for an L2 Visa (My wife is on an L1 Visa).

Completed the Bio Metrics on 28th of Sept in Chennai and had my Visa appointment scheduled for the 6th of Oct, 2014.

TN Govt then decided to declare 6th of OCt, 2014 as a holiday for Bakrid at the last minute and as a result the US consulate in Chennai also declared a holiday and there went my interview scheduled for the 6th.

Then had to call up USTravelDocs customer care and then rescheduled my bio metrics and Interview. Yes, had to re-schedule bio metrics as well as the system does not allow you to re-schedule only the Consular Interview after you've attended the bio-metrics.

Attended the revised bio-metrics on the 5th of Oct 2014 with the consular appointment scheduled for the 14th of Oct 2014

On the 14th of Oct, 2014, there was a long queue. Went about 15 minutes before the scheduled time and waited outside for about 20 minutes before I entered the consulate.

Completed security (where they screwed up my documentation arrangement), walked over to the next building, got another fingerprint done.

Got my token number and waited for about 10 mins before I was called.

The VO looked at my case online and then asked me how long I had overstated and I replied "2 days".

I was then asked to go to another counter to get something corrected (I don't know what). Game my wife's passport copy at the counter I was sent to and was now told to go back to the original counter.

Went back to the original counter and was asked which company my wife is employed with. This was the only question I was asked to which I had answered.

30 seconds later, I was told my Visa was approved.

My Passport was made available the same day for collection as well.

I collected my passport 2 days later (Was out of town to collect the same day) and I am back in the US now.

Total time from my initial exit from US and back to the States = 3 Weeks.

***The End***

L1 A Chennai Approved 24 Oct
Owe a lot to this forum. so took the pain of registering .

As mentioned multiple times in this forum, I saw a slew of rejections mostly L1 A and L1 B at Counter 17. I kept hearing on " Sorry Sir, THe US Laws are very strict about this xxxxx ".. If you have gone through this forum enough you already know what nit means.

However, I felt all the more bold and confident why I deserve a visa and not them. More than anything , it is confidence. The one before me got rejected because he had only 5 reportees and I got approved with 2 .

VO: please pass your docs .
Me: Did

Me: Good Afternoon
VO: No Reply

VO: What is your role?
Me: I would be Account Manager for YYYY client.

VO: So you would be working for YYYY Client
Me: No, I would be working for ZZZ Org

VO: Where woudl you work out of?
Me: Client's location at YYY

VO: You are working at ZZZ's location but still its not your client. In my understanding YYYY is your client.
Me: Thats fine then. lets consider it that way

VO: I dont know why you are uncomfortable calling YYYY your client.
Me: its a non billable role and my salary would be an expense ZZZ org and ..

VO: Ahh.. Thats Okay. Thats Okay
VO: How many people would be reporting to you in the US
Me: 3

VO: and how many are managers
ME: 2 of them are leads . however we are looking at recruiting more....

< VO cut me down at this point>

VO: Thats OKkay.. What did you say your designation is
Me: Account Manager

VO: I am aapproving your Visa. xxxx

L1 A Individual visa approved in Mumbai
I would like to thanks this forum and guys who shared visa experiences. I am going through this forum from last month and well equipped before big day arrived. Here is my experience:

OFC:
-My OFC schedule for 15th Oct, nothing to worry, make sure you reach 15-20 mins before scheduled time and have passport, DS 160 confirmation page and interview appointment letter handy

PAI:
-My Interview sceduled for 16th Oct 10:00 AM and considering heavy Mumbai traffic, I started early and reached consulate by 8:45 (which was too early), my suggestion is to reach 15-20 mins before scheduled time otherwise you will also end up like me sweating and tired before interview. Somehow I manage to gain energy before I come face to face with Visa Officer.

-Mine was with family, and my son is 1.5 years old so I preferred not to take him with me (children below 14 need not necessary to accompany for OFC and PAI)

-For L1 Individual, keep all passports and I797 ready

Following is conversation with VO:

Me: Good Morning Sir, How are you doing today? (with smile on face)
VO: Good, how are you? (With smile on his face)
Me: Good, Thanks

VO: Is this managerial visa?
Me: Yes

Then he looked into his screen and nodding his head like I have applied for wrong visa or something - Don't get nervous by seeing VO's expression.

VO: How long have you been working with current Company?
Me: 6 years, I was with same company before for 4 years

VO: Were you working in Mexico before (I have Mexico visa stamped previously)
Me: No, I changed company in US before and I visited Mexico to get I-94 updated with new company name

VO: When are you planning to go to States?
Me: This is immediate requirement and I need to fly by month end

VO: How many reportees you have?
Me: 18 (VO confused with 80)
VO: Is it 80, eight Zero
Me: No sir, 18, One Eight

To my wife:
VO: Where is your son?
Wife: He is in Pune with my sister.

Then he said "your visa is approved".

I might be lucky as VO asked very few questions, may be because I was confident and this is L1 individual case or maybe he was considering the fact that I have been to US your before many times (5 times - twice with L1 B, twice with H1 and once with B1)

Suggestions:
-Eye to Eye contact with VO
-Remain calm and confident and you will get it

Best of luck!
