L1 individual and Blanket
L1 individual has certainly got weightage because it will be verified and approved by the USCIS dept. You are sure to get the visa. IT and Non-IT degree holders can apply under this visa.

Whereas Blanket L1 petition is a pre-approved petition for the company. So, the visa office is responsible for evaluating the applicant's eligibility. And also, only professionals in the relevant field of study only can apply for BlanketL1 ,for eg.for computer related jobs, you should have comp.science/electronics educational qualification.

L1B individual / blanket
Hi,
Can anyone help me with these?
1. Is L-1B individual petition has more weightage when compared to L-1B blanket petition? I mean, do individual petition guys have more chances of getting a visa compared to blanket petition guys?

2. How long does it to take to get an individual L-1B petition to get approaved by USCIS?

PLEASE HELP ME.

Hi All, i had my L1 Blanket visa interview on 8th of july at Delhi, i would like to thank everyone invloved in this site for the wonderful help u have done.

my interview was at 8AM and i reached by 7.45, after a security check, i was asked to stand in a line, then one person will come to check and arrange your documents and tat will b very helpful, after that you need to sumbit your documents in a counter. Then i was asked to sit inside the lobby, the best part in delhi is you can carry your bags and if any cellphones are there, it can be deposited with the security people and can be collected back once your interview is over.

After i entered the lobby,i was asked to wait for few minutes till my documents reached them, after that i had to get my fingers scanned.

Then they asked me to stand in Queue number 3, i had to wait for 25 mins.

L1A and L2 Visa renewal
I went for L1 for me and L2 for my family (Wife + kid)
It was on 08/07/2006 @ 12.45PM at chennai consulate. I reached embassy by 12.30 and ask to get into the waiting queue right away. Since i had 3-1/2 year kid, i was asked to go directly to the security counter, where they will verify your passport and appointment. then i was let in.
inside another security officer who will check for your baggae and its contents. luckily i was allowed 1 bottle of water and some biscuit packet for my daughter.
then i entered inspection section, where they will arrange your document as per the visa category, verify your passport photos and Petition along with finger prints. then i was asked to enter visa approval section, whereas i was given priority to reach the consular window directly. There i waited for 15 minutes, since 2 people were ahead of me. when my turn came.... (those 2 people got rejected, so you can understand my anxiety)
Me : Good afternoon, how are you doing today ?
VO: Good afternoon, little bit tired today, but good. how are you ?
Me : Fine thanks. here are my documents...
VO: so, you are working as YYYY YYYY
Me : yes.(with smile)
VO: how long you have been with this YYYY company ?
ME: 4 years and 10 months.
VO: Whats is the nature of the job ?
ME: explained...
VO: /how long you have been in india with this company and in US
ME:replied.....
VO: can u pls explain what is meant by <Product name > (after looking into my I-129)
ME : Explained....
VO: ok, you will get your visa along with the passport with in a week.
ME : Thanks, and have a good day...
VO: You too... and thanks.

Good luck friends. Thanks for immihelp for sharing all experiences, which is helping a lot of Visa aspirants yesterday, today and tomorrow...

Tips :
1) Never ever go to consulate, before 3o minutes before your appointment time. its not going to help you in any way.
