L1B Blanket
This site was very informative for me 2 prepare for my L1 Blanket stamping. I had my appointment on April 1st 2008 at 09:45 AM @ Delhi embassy. I had reached consulate by 9:00 AM and allowed inside. Actually there are two separate queues, one for General and other one is Priority (Sr. Citizens & BEP candidates).

The following questions were asked to me...

• How long ur working 4 ur company?
• Who is your client?
• What is ur project ur going to work on?
• From how many months you are working for this project?
• What's your total year of experience?
• Tell me about your Specialization?
• Explain the tools which your are using?

Thats it!!!!

L1-B Visa - Personal Appearance
Hi All,
I had my L1B personal appearance on 21st April 2008. As usual i was nervous before i entered there but i relaxed myself and all ended well :)

My appointment was at 8.45 am. And the crowd was reasonable.

Once doc verification and paying the DD at the cash counter I was made to wait for nearly 20 mins before i entered the interview queue.

My VO was polite and my interview lasted only 3-4 mins. I had 4 questions.
1. How long are with XYZ?
2. Who is your clinet?
3. How long are you with this client?
4. What is your specilization?

And thats it...he told me that he is approving my visa and i will get it in next 5 days...

All the best people...

assum exp
Hi All,
I want to thank the person who has launched this forum for helping all of us to know wht exactly is the situation out there in the visa counsel.
i had my visa interview on 14April @ 9:45 and the day before the PI i never slept the whole night thinking wht will happen though i started going through this portal 4 days back before my PI.i went to the counsel at 8 bcuz of the tension...but they asked me to come only at 9:15 and i went at 9 and they allowed me inside.....seeing the people out there i was even more tensed....but there is nothing to panic as they are there to give us visa......beleive in god surely it will happen....once u enter there will be security check and then u need to submit ur documents...if u done with both the security and doc verification ur visa s 50% stamped....its only the personel apperance that is req ...then i was asked to go directly to the visa room...there initially u need to give ur visa fees and ur hdfc receipt and after that u will go for the interview.....i was shocked to see the counter...it was like a railway booking counter....8 counters with people standing in a q.....and finally after 1 and half hour my turn came and by that time i was totally relaxed....and my interview went for just 3 min ...here are my question

1)How many yrs ur being with ur company
and:1yr 3 months
2)who is ur client
ans:client name
3)how many months ur are being in this project
ans:actually i was with the client for only 8 months but i told her 1yr and 1month since in my document it was mentioned that i hold the position of Comp Prog Analyst for atleast one yr and hence i told the same...so say whats there in the document
4)how many yrs of total work exp do u have
and:2yr and 7 months
5)wht will be ur role in the client place
and:some blah blah blah...but in between i used the word migration ...she got a doubt and asked me whether was it support or maitainence...i told its an upgration from the current version and i have exp working in both the version

and then finally came the golden words...i am approving ur visa...carry these document when u go to US....

confidence boosters...1)Dress smartly
2)Greet them saying Very GM and ask them how they are doing....
3)Finally believe in GOD and u will get it stamped........

L1 B and L2 Interview
Hi all,
This site was immensely helpful for me in preparing for my interview. Thanks to all.
My L1B interview was on 15th of Apr. I went with my 21months old daughter for her L2.
My interview was at 11.30 and I went there by 10.40 itself. In documents verification queue, I had wait for some time b4 my turn. He took some time in arranging our documents. My daughter was keeping me very busy as she was totally bored to stay put. They didnt bothered to check any marksheet, birth certificate etc. Then in next building, another queue and then I deposited the DD in counter. It took 10 mins. Finally I was alarmed at the crowd in interview chamber. I was asked to go to Counter 4 by security. There was a young female officer at the desk. Just 2 ppl were waiting b4 me. When the VO saw me, she immediately asked me to come first. She was very fast. Chatted with my child, verified my documents, questioned me all at same time. I felt totally relaxed and comfortable with her. These are the questions she asked.
  1. Where are you working?
  2. How long?
  3. What will you do at US?
  4. Whats your client doing?
  5. How long have you worked with the client? Ans: This is our new client so only 11 months Experience.
  6. Any more experience in this field?
  7. Any one else in US?
Ans: Yes my husband.
  8. WHere is he?
VO: Ok Then your visa will be sent to you and make sure to keep these documents safely. She then insisted that my daughter said bye. Entire interview lasted for just 2 mins.
  All the best.

Successful L1 individual stamping
Hi,

I would like to thank to this website for providing immense help to get my L1 individual stamping.

My L1 Blanket visa got rejected for the reason 221(g) - 'No specialised Knowledge' on Jan 8th 2008. My employer filled L1 individual(premium processing) pettition for me. My interview was scheduled on 4th Apr, 2008, 1:30 pm @ chennai counsulate. I was there by 12:45 pm. As there was not that much crowd, the security allowed to the prescreening section. There was a seperate queue for BEP kind of visa. In the prescreening counter, the officer told me to wait for a while, as i got 221(g) (Visa rejection letter) last time. So, i was waiting for my folder in the waiting hall. After 30 mins, the prescreening officer allowed me to proceed further, he has taken my finger prints. Immediatly i proceeded to the BEP counter. My interview went like this.

VO : Hi, How are you??
Me : I'm good, how abt u?
VO : (With big smile) Good.
VO: Why you were waiting there??
Me : Said the reason.
VO : (Put aside my passport) What project you are going to work in US?
Me : Explained about my project.
VO : How long you are goin to work in there?
Me : Initially i will be there for 2 years, it may get extend for an year.
VO : Ur Visa is approved, u will get ur passport within a week time.

I was really happy at that moment. My strong advice is that, be cool and be confident. Don't try to confuse them, they are to help us. Don't worry for earlier rejections. All the best for the readers.

Thanks once again,
Sirajudeen
