Recently my L1B Blanket visa is rejected (Not Clearly Approvable) .Now my company is ready to apply either L1B (Individual) or H1B Visa.
Could you please suggest which option will be best suitable? Also what are chances of approval of L1B(Individual) after the L1B(Blanket) rejection.
My profile :
I have been working in a S?W organisation for more than 4 years and my company is offering me between 80k-90K USD salary.

Some questions...
Good day sir/ma,

Please, i have some questions... As an employee who his employer is going to sponsor his trip on B1 US visa for 15 days seminar:

1. Does he need to present his own personal bank account statement or employer's bank account statement to the consular?

2. If the applicant is a civil servant, what type of financial support documents does he need to present at the embassy? Hope to read from you as soon as possible. Thank you all.

My regards.

L1A Individual Approved - Stamping Next
Hi All
My organization (the largest medical devices company) filed for my L1A Individual under Premium Processing on Jan 9 at the CA service center, received the receipt on Jan 10 and by EoD Jan 11 my visa was approved. I have been in the organization for 6+ years, 19 years of experience with 10 years as a people manager. Plus, I hold a US MS degree in Mechanical Engineering. Guess all that helped my case!

The next step would be for stamping at the US Consulate, in Hyderabad, where I live. I will update more once my stamping is done.

What to mention in DS-160 for L2 depended visa?
Hello,

I have got my L1 visa approved recently and planning to fly soon.
I applying for L2 depended visa for my wife and daughter and I have query related to a question asked in DS-160,
"Do you have any immediate relatives, not including parents, in the United States?" ??

Here they are asking whether the Fiance or Spouse is in the US. The answer to this is tricky because when my family goes for visa interview, I might be in my home country or I might be in the US. It all depends on when their visa appointment gets scheduled.

Can anyone help me here? What should be the answer to this?

L1B Blanket Extension Approved
Many thanks to all the people who have provided immense amount of information on the process and preparation required for the US visa interview.

My interview was in Chennai for L1B Blanket category (extension). There are gates in front of the consulate now which allows people with appointment slots in next 15 minutes and 30 minutes. After you get your documents scanned in the line outside the consulate, you enter the consulate and send your documents through security scan. Credit cards are allowed (for paying fees). Once you are clear through security scan, you move to a hallway where you can tell the coordinator that you are there for L1B-blanket and they will provide an instructions sheet to arrange your documents. You only need to provide (as far as I remember) the I-129S (three copies), first page of I-797 (three copies), DS-160 of primary applicant (this should be the same DS-160 which would have been stamped at VAC during biometric interview) and passport of the primary applicant (family members passports not to be included at this stage, if visa is to be approved the consular officer would ask for it during interview). Then get the documents checked with the coordinator and go to the other building. Once you enter the queue and when you turn comes, you will be asked to pay the 500 dollars fees. You can pay using USD currency notes also. Next fingerprinting verification for adults happens at next counter and then you enter the main hallway for interview. For us we were asked to directly go to the coordinating officer (may be since we had kids with us), as soon as we went to her, the person directed us to move to an open queue (no wait in the queue). When the person in front of us got done with his interview we were called by the officer. After greetings, the following questions were asked (he asked for passports of family members and visa fees receipt in between):
- What is the name of your organization?
- Where are you going in the US?
- What is your salary?
- Years of experience?
- What is your project?

Then there was a long pause as the officer continued typing into his system. Then he asked two questions to my wife:
- How many years have you two been married
- How old are your kids

Then he said that our visas are approved and handed us the two stamped copies of I-129. In two days our Passport status is showing ready for pickup at the Bluedart location.

All the very best to the other candidates!!!

L1A individual - renew at non-US consulate via L1 blanket
Has anyone tried this? My attorneys have suggested to try this approach in Canada/Mexico/Dominican republic (close to US)

From a legal perspective this is possible as visa type remains L1 - would be great to hear who has been in same situation.

L1 Visa
I applied for L1visa (Blanket) for a functional manager at Melbourne US consulate and my appointment was on 24th Dec. Due to executive order president declared the holiday and consulate moved my appointment to 28th dec. I was in urgent need to travel to start work and attend a conference on 7th Jan. Visa interview was very smooth.
I was prepared well with the paperwork my compant attorney sent and other supporting documents.
Visa interview expereience -

VO: Good Afternoon
Me: Good Afternoon

Vo: what does your company do?
Me: Answer

Vo: Are you a manager or director?
Me: Sr. Manager

Vo: Checked and verified all the documents
Me: waited while she did that

Vo: your visa is approved and kept my passport

then I started the visa application tracking and on 3rd Jan it changed to "issued" and I received my passport next day on 4th Jan.
