My New OCI Card application status has updated to
"Your application has been processed by the Embassy/Consulate and returned to VFS Indian Consulate application Centre and is currently in TRANSIT"
Does this mean the OCI card is approved and on the way?

Driving licence and Aadhar card
Hi All,
Could you please answer what will happen to validity/ usage of my "Indian Driving licence" - which is valid till 2030, after surrendering Indian Passport.
Do we need to apply new driving license or use the one before becoming a foreign citizen / renouncing Indian citizenship.
Same is the question for aadhar card.

08/02 - Verification is done, transit to consulate
08/05 - Acknowledgement ( date as 5 AUG 2021) on GOI site at https://ociservices.gov.in/statusEnqury
08/30 - Document Printing is done on 08/30/2021
08/31 - MEA dispatched document on 08/31/2021
08/31 - Document received at Houston consulate on 08/31/2021

New OCI card for US citizen who was a minor at time of citizenship
Our daughter is now an adult but was a minor when she acquired her citizenship based on the parents naturalisation. She used to have an Indian passport that she renounced at the time of becoming a US citizen.
We applied for her OCI card furnishing the below in the packet to VFS :
- copy of her US pport
- copy of her Indian pport(all pages including the one that says cancelled)
- copy of her parents' naturalisation cert
- her drivers license
- photos
- notaized letter from parents informing why she doesnt have naturalisation certificate.
We received a remark stating the below :
"Remarks:
Copy of Official court order if first name and/or last name was changed endorsement at the back of naturalization certificate if name was changed during naturalization marriage certificate must be provided if last name was changed after marriage"
This must be the most incompetent processing person at VFS. Our daughter is single, unamarried, has the same name in ALL her documentation including pports(indian and us and drivers license) and yet the above!!!! Assuming they needed the marriage certificate of her parents, we have now uploaded that via their website, but nowhere do they mention that a copy of the marriage certificate was needed until now!!!!
We will continue updating this thread as it develops, but after our fairly straightforward experience in Mar/April, this seems quite stupid. More to come.

New OCI Card for husband and daughter of Indian citizen
Hello, we are waiting for OCI card after submitting application. My wife is an Indian citizen. Myself and our daughter are US citizens.
My application was submitted to Mission for decision making on July 30. My daughters is processing at VFS still, since August 30.
We applied through Houston consulate.
Does anyone have ideas about when we should expect our cards? We have plan to travel to India on October 30... we thought we could do tourist visa if OCI did not come in time, but we didn't realize tourist visas aren't available :( so we delayed submitting OCI unfortunately.
