I am apply for an OCI for minor. In checklist for minor, VFS is asking for NATIVE ADDRESS DETAILS (see full details below). Father of minor is a US citizen and mother has a green card. Can someone please advise, what documents to provide? thank you in advance.

Renunciation Certificate

Can I get the Surrender/Renunciation Certificate the same day if applied in-person at the consulate (NY)? Anyone has any such experience?
Then apply for OCI card immediately the same at the consulate? Is that even a possible option?

New OCI - San Francisco
Received my new OCI yesterday, below are the detailed timelines:
2-Jul-2021: Application was received by VFS at San Francisco
2-Jul-2021: Received an email saying that unable to proceed with the application since the photo background can be only plain white (mine was slightly off white, told the person at Walgreens when the photo was taken that the photo background is not right before submitting, but she kept insisting that she had never had any rejections on the photo)
6-Jul-2021: Resubmitted the application again with the updated photo (this time went to UPS for the photo, they were very professional)
7-Jul-2021: Your application has been 'Processed' at VFS and currently 'In-Transit' to Consulate office
8-Jul-2021: Consulate office Date of Acknowledgement
9-Aug-2021: Documents Printing Status 'Processed'
10-Aug-2021: Dispatched from MEA New Delhi
18-Aug-2021: Document received at San Francisco (not sure why it took 8 days to be received)
18-Aug-2021: Document shipped by VFS
19-Aug-2021: Received the new OCI

OCI renewal
Based on the new rule that we dont have to get a new OCI card in case somebody gets a new passport under the age of 20, i was trying to update my daughter new passport information the OCI website. After entering all the correct information, it shows errors and asks for which FRRO we are updating at. It gives a drop down menu which doesnt work so there is no way to enter this information.
Anybody having the same issue? I am using Chrome and have also tried it on Safari but the same issue persists.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

New OCI Minor - NYC experience
Here is my experience with OCI Minor (New). I included the status updates which can help new applicants. Status updates will be received either on both email and text, some only on email (like requesting additional docs)
July 8, 2021 - Sent Documents thru FedEx
July 9, 2021 - Acknowledged; Later on same day - "Additional documents : Please send us a one way prepaid shipping label for us to courier your OCI card to you. Only round trip courier was paid and the remaining courier was used to send back the physical passport that was sent in."

July 9th & 10th - I sent the label thru [email protected]. I got this email id from forums, they never responded to it, I also submitted a query
July 12, 2021 - Mailed the physical label, delivered on 13th.
July 14, 2021 - Status changed to "Your application is being verified and currently under process at the VFS Indian Consular Application Centre". Return received passport and 2 photos (I attached one to application + additional 2). As others stated they need 1 photo only, they can be clear.. oh well.
July 15, 2021 - Either of these statuses - (1) We have ‘Received’ your Application and your application is now ‘Under Process’ at New York and will be submitted to the Mission for decision making. (2) Your Application has been ‘Processed’ at the VFS India Consular application Centre and currently is ‘In-Transit‘ to the Embassy of India/Consulate General of India for decision making.
As soon as VFS India Consular application Centre receives an update, the status on the ‘Track and Trace’ page will be revised accordingly.
Also received a text - Your application has been 'Processed' at the CFS centre and is submitted to the Mission for decision making
July 16, 2021 - Your application has reached at the Embassy/Consulate and is currently under review process
Aug 9, 2021 - Your Application has been reviewed by the Embassy of India/ Consulate General of India & will be dispatched using the courier service you had opted.
