Which Services do we choose on Govt website ? My Child already had OCI before since we had to get a new passport a NEW OCI is needed.
On the government website which option do i choose ? New OCI or OCI Miscellaneous services.

Oci approved times
Hi,
Submitted application on 7th Jul 2021 at Goswell.
Application status was shown under process until 29 July 2021.
It changed to approved and have OCI number. Hope to receive cards in post in the next week.

Mother name incorrect
Hi,
I have received the OCI today and mother name incorrect on it. This is happened because we completed the incorrect. mother name on OCI application. For that VFS asked us to send the notarized statement saying that mother name on the application is incorrect and finally sent the notarized form.
Later I followed up with the VFS team to make sure to have the correct mother name on OCI almost I talked with them 10 times which charged me around 100$. Still, I end up with the incorrect mother name on OCI card. This is something pathetic customer experience though followed up on the same issue for more than 10 times still it is not resolved. Could you please take a look into that?

NEW Minor OCI application
Hi all,
I sent my daughter's application at the end of March. The OCI status webpage shows the date of acknowledgement as 5th April. It is still under process, despite the typical 60 day turnaround time suggested on their page.
I understand there may be delays due to the current pandemic situation, but was wondering if there is anyone in a similar situation?
Is there anything I can do to enquire what is hapenning?

NEW OCI (Minor) - NY CGI Parents Visa Docs
Hi, I'm planning to apply for new OCI card for my new born and I'm H1B and my wife is on H4. Both my Visa and my wife's VISAs were expired and my H1B is approved recently and we are still waiting for approval on my spouse's H4. with this scenario, Can i submit the H4 receipt notice for the valid VISA for my spouse? Should i attach the I-94 plus the H4 receipt notice because the visa was already expired?

01-MAY-2021: Application sent via Fedex (Saturday)
03-MAY-2021: Fedex tracking shows delivery (Monday)
05-MAY-2021: VFS - "We have ‘Received’ your Application..." "... now ‘Under Process’ at New York and will be submitted to the Mission for decision making"
06-MAY-2021: VFS - "Your Application has been ‘Processed’..." "...currently is ‘In-Transit‘ to the Embassy of India/Consulate General of India for decision making"

Looks like OCI processing times have improved recently. Beginning mid-April, we do not need to send original US passport, and that's cut 2-3 weeks that VFS usually takes to review and return the passport.

New OCI Minor Applicant - Naturalization certificate
Folks,
I recently applied for OCI for my daughter (minor born in India). Since I did not have naturalization certificate for her (we have only US passport) I attached a signed letter explaining she had derivative citizenship and our (mine and my wife) naturaliization certificate copies. The application is currently "On Hold" and VFS insists I send in copy of her naturalization certificate - any one else faced this?. I even called VFS and they keep repeating the same stupid rule again. Do you guys attach naturalization certificate for your kids when you apply for OCI?.
