Never say MYSELF for F1 visa
Folks,

This is very important !!! Keep in mind never to say "self" when the VO asks about who is the sponsor. I said myself and was denied the visa. Always say parents/father/ myself + father/ father + loan. But never take the entire burden by saying "myself". They see you as a potential immigrant thinking that you are self accomplished and that you do not have strong ties to the home country. So they would reject your visa. Always show your parents as your sponsor and carry necessary documents.

F1 visa
Hey guys, I have my F1 Student visa coming up in U.S Toronto consulate SOON! I'll share my experience with you after I get my visa!
I have been to the U.S as a child and stayed there as a dependent under my fathers visa for 12 years. I had a immigration I-485 filed for me
When I was just a child. Hopefully it's not a big concern to the VO, because I was just a child and now I am a Canadian Resident.
After a year and a half, I'm going to get my student visa to continue my studies!
Always be confident!

Request for immediate help!!!!
Hi everyone,

I came to the US on H4 and then converted to F1 while in the US, hence does not have a physical visa stamp in my passport. After graduation, I started working with a Big 4 public accounting firm on OPT ( EAD expires August 31st) and the firm already filed for my H1-B and got a reciept # for the premium processing (If everything goes well, I will get the approval in 15 days). Since my sister's wedding is fixed for July 17th, I'd really like to travel to India and come back on August 1st (one month before my OPT expires). I can even get a cap-gap approved by my university which would extend my OPT till September 31st. Could someone please adivce me on how to approach the situation. I know that I will have to get the F-1 visa stamped on my passport before I could possibly travel back to the US. But, I guess my question is, is there a chance of getting rejected? If so I will have to stay in India till end of September to travel back to US, which my employer would be not willing to accept. Please respond at the earliest.

Regards,
Daniel

administrative processing confusion
I interviewed for J1 visa in kolkata on 19th dec.I was given a white slip and my application was sent to admin. processing.I sent all the necessary information that day only .The consulate sent me link to kolkata consulate where I can monitor my case.It was a pdf link.My status was "requested questionnaire"since then.On 26th Dec the pdf was updated and my status became "pending".Then I found the CAEC website and started monitoring my status there also. There the status was "admin processing".Case created 19th dec and updated 19th dec too.On 3rd Jan the Caec website showed case updated 3rd jan,but the status is still under admin processing. They also updated the pdf link and mine and a few case numbers close to mine was missing from the pdf. I am really confused now.
I checked the caec for the missing numbers some have status "issued"and some is still under"admin processing"
Has any of you faced this?If my status is still under admin processing then what is the new update on 3rd Jan(it was under admin processing since the day of my interview)? why our case numbers are missing for the pdf if we are yet to get the visa?why it is not showing the "pending"status?

I am sorry if I am sounding very confusing, but as all you know how big a deal is the visa issue. Please share your experience /review/comment if you have faced same situation.
