N600 approval and certificate receive exp for my daughter who is minor
I have filed N600 online for my 3 year daughter online and our Field office is San Antonio TX
Nov 2, 2019 -- application filed by creating a separate user id/email for my daughter
Nov 20, 2019 -- finger printing and picture for my daughter, Staffs were considerate and helpful
Jan 10, 2020 -- status changed online that interview has been scheduled and sent an appointment notice
and case status online indicates that application has been approved and send out an approval notice.
Sent an online message asking about the status and they mentioned that application is approved and waiting
to schedule the oath ceremony.
During Covid 19 lockdown, received a mail 12th May 2020 saying that we need to go for oath on May 22, 2020.
Sent an online message to get more clarification, we got reply that office is closed and we have to wait for rescheduled
mail in future. called up USCIS helpline, they confirmed by checking their internal system that office is closed
and need to wait for another 1-2 months to reschedule the oath.
I did not go for oath on May 22 and on May 26th I received a call checking why I did not reach there on May 22nd.
I explained the above communications and they had asked me if I can come down down and pick up the certificate next day.
Also mentioned that no need to bring my daughter, but just bring the green card.
I said that we already submitted Green card during her passport application. So they asked me to bring a letter stating this.
Next day I reached San Antonio field office and there was a big line. I stood in the line may be 50th postion
and USCIS staff came there asked me if its for picking up the certificate for kid. I said yes they took the notice letter and came back with the certificate in 5 mintues.
I signed 2 papers for the acceptance of the certificate.
I know its a long explanation, hope it will be helpful for someone to clarify about their questions.
Hello everyone. Has anyone received any recent updates in regards to the San Fernando office? I filed in August 2019 and still waiting for an interview. I did my biometrics at the application support center in San Fernando in September.
I applied my N400 application on Oct 2019, and did the biometric in middle of Nov 2019. Now I am waiting for in-person interview. Has anyone have the similar status in San Bernardino California? Please share your experience. Does anyone received the interview notice? If yes, please share.
Thank you very much. Good luck!
