Regarding interview, arrived at location 15 mins prior to appointment time. They let me into building after ~10 mins or so (verified appt letter & ID) and asked me to go to 4th floor. On 4th floor, they checked me into system using info from my appt letter (asked if I travelled outside of country in last 14 days) and asked me to wait in 4th floor lobby (there were another 8 - 10 ppl already waiting). An officer called me after ~15 mins, walked me to his office and verified my IDs (DL, GC). He asked where I work, whether I own/rent and monthly rent/payment, my address. Asked me to read (Who lives in white house) and write (President lives in white house) sentences. Then he asked 6 civic questions (Supreme law of land, who is speaker, we elect president for how many years, responsibility only for US citizen, what does president cabinet do, how many voting members in house). Then he asked me yes/no questions from N400 application, about 15 - 20 of them (for any citation qn, I told him explicitly that I had a minor speeding ticket for which he did not had any follow up question on that). He told me I passed interview and my application is approved, told me that he will fill paperwork to schedule for Oath for same day. In ~5 mins, he completed paperwork and asked me to verify my information that will be printed on naturalization certificate, printed oath application form and asked me to answer few yes/no questions on last page of it & sign it. He then asked me to go to 5th floor for Oath and walked me back to lobby (I was in his office for total of 20 - 30 mins). Officer is very professional, friendly, very crisp and clear with his questions and nice. He did not asked any documents other than DL, GC and passport. I went to 5th floor, checked in, they took my signed Oath application and GC, asked me to wait. They are doing Oath whenever there are few people. When I was there, there were about 10-15 people already who were about to take Oath which took ~5 mins. After 10 mins, its my turn with few others, Oath done in ~5 mins, got naturalization certificate and done. It took total of 1.5 hrs from time I reached building to time I was out of building.

N 400 - Citizenship Interview Experience - Buffalo NY
This forum helped me a lot in preparing the documents and keeping my mind sane through the entire process. Here is mine and my husband's time line.
Filed N 400 with 5 years of residency. Green card was obtained through Employment Category.
Reached Buffalo well on time. Parking was available right next to the Building. I was the last one on that day for the interview so the office was practically empty.
The officer called me in at 2.45pm. Absolutely great officer, was very nice, polite and friendly. Asked me to relax and then explained me the process. He started with the civic test and I got the first 6 questions correct, reading and writing all done in like 2 minutes.
The questions asked were:
1) What is the one right from the first amendment?
2) What happened on Sept 11, 2001?
3) Who wrote the declaration of Independence?
4) Which US state border's Canada?
5) Before Eisenhower was president, in which war did he lead as a general?
6) For how many years do we select a president for?
Writing was: Citizens can vote.
Then we went over the form that took another 10 minutes with asking all the Yes/No questions. Except for the green card and passport no other documentation was asked. I took a big folder with all sorts of documentation like: birth certificate, marriage certificate, taxes (5 years), paystubs etc. The officer then said, Congratulations you have passed and scheduled my oath ceremony on 30th April and gave me the necessary paperwork. and then also told me to ask my husband to make a good dinner for me as I did exceedingly well in the interview. He told me that because it was a Friday, late in the day I didn't get the same day oath. I then told him that my husband was coming back to this very same office 2 days later for his interview in the morning. He informed me that my husband if passed should get the same day oath. I requested to him that instead of waiting till April 30th, could I be considered for the oath on the same day as my husband, if he passed, to avoid the long drive. (The USCIS office is about hour and a half drive from where I live). He told me that he can email his supervisor and put in a request for me. He then told me to come back with my husband on the day of his interview and request for the same day oath. He was like there is no guarantee but he was pretty sure that my request would be considered if my husband gets the same day oath.
So 2 days later, I drove back to USCIS office one more time for my husband's interview. My husband's interview experience was similar to mine. Super nice officer and the interview was done in like 10 minutes. My husband was approved and told that he would get his oath the same day. My husband then explained the officer about my situation and asked if I could take the oath with him the same day instead of waiting until 30th April. The officer was extremely nice, quickly went to his supervisor and got the approval for me. By this time I was waiting outside the glassdoor of the main office. My husband could see me and asked me to come inside. I went inside, one of the officer's took my green card and asked us to wait for few minutes so that the certificates could be printed. 15 minutes later, my husband was called for his oath which took like 2 minutes. And then I Was called, the officer quickly did the oath and gave me my certificate and congratulated me.
Finally our journey is over and we are proud American citizens. Next step is to file for the passport. The officers at Buffalo office are super nice, polite and professional, this was our 4th time in that office. We have been there twice for fingerprinting and twice for interview. Each time we had very pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this office if people have liberty to move and choose a particular USCIS location, I would say go with Buffalo Office.
My priority date is March 4 .2020
And Biometrics were scheduled for
April 1 . 2020 but got rescheduled for November
5. 2020 after that everything went silent . Until today I Check case tracker and it says “ interview scheduled “
When I check my online account nothing was there but what I found rather strange was that my estimated completion was July 2021 now when I check it says December 2021 I find that rather strange can anyone relate
I have had my Naturalization interview in LA two weeks ago. The interview went well and officer congratulated me for passing test and interview , but she said she doesn't have my file to stamp, therefor she marked "No decision can make". It almost two weeks passed, but there's no update online. I read here that many people getting approved in same day. Any one has similar experience for not getting decision weeks after interview? Also How and when can I follow up? My estimated time shows oct.

Parking: If you are looking for parking, there is parking garage steps away from the USCIS building at 990/994 broad street. They charge $20 for full day, I downloaded the app call ParkWhiz, the app gave me $5 discount to park there so I paid $15 in total. This parking garage can be accessed from 990 broad street.
My appointment was scheduled at 8 AM, I arrived at 970 Broad St #2506, Newark, NJ 07102 at 7:45 am. They were not allowing people who had appointments at 8:30 or 9 am at that time. So it’s recommended you reach there 15 minutes prior to your appointment.
My appointment was on the 3rd floor, after a temperature check I was told to wait for my name to be called. At 8:45 am my name was called. The officer asked me to provide all passports I have used since I am here in the US and my green card to review my file and told me she will call me in few minutes. She came back at 9:10 am to we walked to the interview room.
Their systems were working slow for some reason that day so it took her goo 10-15 minutes to gather all the information prior to the interview. The interview was started with reviewing the N400 form. You should be extra careful when it comes to NO/ Yes questions at the end, it can be a reason for the rejection of your application so be extra cautious. Also, it’s hard to understand while they have the mask on, if you don’t understand the question please ask as many times as you need. Also, stay calm and be very precise with your answers. When there is silence in the room while your officer is busy doing their stuff in their computer don’t start any random conversation just wait patiently and respond when needed.
After reviewing N400, she asked me to read a sentence from the tablet which was “ What do we pay to the Government” after that I was asked to write “We pay taxes”.
Civics
What is the economic system in the United States?
Name one branch or part of the government
What stops one branch of government from becoming too powerful?
How many U.S. Senators are there?
What is one reason colonists came to America?
Name one state that borders Canada.
I have taken copies of 5-year taxes, joint banks account statements, home/health/car insurance, deeds, leases, utility bills, copies of hotel booking and air tickets, pictures with me. Also, I have uploaded all the evidence online with the form. The officer only asked me to show the original marriage certificate and birth certificates of my wife and kid. She didn’t ask me to provide any additional documents as I have uploaded everything online.
After that, the officer told me that I was approved and she gave me a form stating the same. She walked me out to the waiting area and told me to go to the 15th floor for the oath ceremony. The interview lasted about 50 minutes.
After 45-55 minutes of wait, I was called to join the oath ceremony. After the oath, I got my naturalization certificate. Welcome to America!!
Does anyone know if Los Angeles is doing oath ceremonies on the same day as the naturalization interview? If not, then how long the wait has been thereafter? Thanks!
