I decided to apply for N400 with my spouse after 5yrs and 3months as a green card holder.Here is my historic timelines.
Minneapolis MN field office.
July 12th 2019....N400 submitted online.
July 14th 2019....biometric scheduled...Estimated completion time July 2020
July 31th 2019....We reviewed your biometric..Estimated completion time June 2020.
Dec 14th 2019....we scheduled your interview..estimated completion time August 2020.
Jan 24th 2020...You attended your interview..Estimated completion time April 2020
Jan 24th 2020...we approved your application.
Jan 25th 2020...we scheduled your naturalization ceremony.
Feb 3rd 2020....Oath administered...
Interview experience..
We got to the office around 8.50am for a 9.15am interview.we came with our two young kids not because of added advantage but because nowhere to leave them that morning.
After passing through security and properly checked in..I was called in at exactly 9am.went with my younger kid and the IO was strict and professional all through with no kind gesture of any kind.After confirming my identity,date of birth and address,the first question was why are you here and why do you want to be a citizen. I was a bit surprised but maintained my cool and answered him honestly .
He proceeded by asking who was Abraham Lincoln and later asked me to write my answer on the pad in from of me.He later rushed through the other five questions and the yes and no part of the application.
He later gave me a paper without making any comment and had to quickly read where it was marked to be sure what was there.
I asked him when the oath was likely to take place,he asked if I have an impending trip which I answered yes. He said I should not worry that it would come up early enough.
The whole interview took 7mins and my spouse own took 10mins. We left the building around 9.15am and before we got home,my status has changed to you attended your interview and after an hour later,status changed again to we approved your application.The following morning,status changed to we scheduled your oath ceremony.
Naturalization ceremony day..
The ceremony was scheduled for 10.30am at st Paul river center.parking was easy and the ballroom was filled with celebrants and their families.
The presiding judge announced that 830 new citizens from 91 countries were there for the ceremony and at exactly 11.am,we formally became an America citizen.
The whole ceremony lasted around 45mins.
In all,the naturalization process took 6months 17days.

Anyone here from Fresno California?
Can anyone have a timeframe sample? I'm excited and nervous at the same time.
I have been researching for more information and I was glad that I found this Immihelp that I also recommend to other fellow applicants. Does anybody here also look for Youtube videos for additional knowledge? I start to subscribe and learn from Katelalit and U.S. Citizenship Help Guide to help me learn more about American citizenship and naturalization.

Requirement prior to N400 application
Hi, I am living at my residence for the past almost 3 years but I recently went on holiday abroad for a month with family and arrived back mid of last month. So when is the earliest time I can file for N-400 application? Do I have to count 3 months immediate residence from the latest date I arrived back from abroad in January 2020?

Waiting for Oath ceremony since December 22nd (Baltimore)
Hi all
I received my approval on Dec 22nd. Online status changed to “Approval”.
As of today, nothing for oath yet. (Name Change involved)
Being name change requires judge approval, assuming that was part of the process of an approval. So it shouldn’t impact judicial ceremony schedule.
Why does it take such a long time to schedule an judicial oath ceremony? State schedule shows 3-4 ceremonies a month in Baltimore or Greenbelt MD locations.
Anyone can provide timeline for oath schedule at the MD court location?
