Baltimore, MD transferred to Washington, DC
Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well. I started the process more than a year ago. Everything was going well. I had my interview on January 22, and I passed the tests. The officer handed me a "recommendation for approval" letter and told me that I should expect the oath ceremony to be scheduled within 2 to 6 weeks from the interview.

This is my case history so far:
02/12/2018 - We received your application
02/17/2018 – We scheduled your biometrics appointment
03/05/2018 – We reviewed your biometrics
12/17/2018 – We scheduled your interview

** 01/22/2019 – Interview took place – Passed, recommended for approval letter given to me.

No further updates have been made since “we scheduled your interview”. Here are some specifics of my case. When I submitted the application, I was “on a break” with my girlfriend. We stuff were still at our apartment, but we weren’t actually living together, nor we were separated. Anyway, I was living with some family members. That was the last address I reported on my application since I did not know what was going to happen with my girlfriend. Eventually, I moved back with her but by that time, 8 months have passed, I went to the Baltimore office for the biometrics appointment, etc.
I was scheduled to attend to Baltimore for the interview. I tried to change my address but the system is not the best, and even though I submitted an address change ticket, nothing happened.
I went to Baltimore for the interview; everything went well, passed the tests. The officer told me that since I am living in DC now, he didn’t have jurisdiction to complete the process and he was going to have to transfer my case to DC, but that shouldn’t take too long. He said 2 to 6 weeks as I previously mentioned.
Anyway, that was on January 22, nothing has happened since then, except that my online profile no longer has an “estimated completion time” anymore. From time to time I am still receiving status updates on my phone and email, well, that stopped 2 or 3 weeks ago. Right now, there is complete radio silence.
I wanted to check if anyone had a similar experience, and what was the outcome.

Thanks in advance for your time!

Still waiting after interview
Hi there I m following this forum since April 2018 when I applied for my N400 online. I applied online on April 13 2018

received my biometrics Appointment end of April and had my interview at NY Federal plaza on Feb 6th 2019. Everything went fine by the end of the interview my IO told me she can’t make decisions as computer is down and she can’t verify my finger prints otherwise you are all set and gave me appointment to come back on feb 15 2019 just for fingerprints. I went on that day but my IO was not present that day her day off, so other IO took care of it and my fingers prints was taken. Since than I am waiting for any updates my online status still says we scheduled your interview. I called USCIS twice once spoke to L2 officer he advised to wait couple of more weeks. After waiting almost 4 weeks I called again the L1 officer refused to transfer to L2 officer and said your case is still pending for decision wait 90days from your interview and than call. No updates still I check my case status 3-4 times a day. I filled on 3 year marriage base I m from queens New York.

If any one had similar situation please share as it is very frustrating to wait n wait n no answer.

N400-Interview reschedule
Hello Everyone,

What has been your experience been in N400 interview reschedule ?
I have filed my N400 online and below are my dates

N400 Appl date - 5/10/18
Biometrics date - 5/29/18 ( Had to reschedule as it fell during my travel date)
New Biometrics date - 6/22/18
Interview schedule - 2/25/19
Interview date - 4/2/19

I have requested to reschedule of my interview date in early March 2019. However till date (3/30) I didn’t receive any letter. I have cancelled my trip and plan to attend the interview date on 4/2/19.

Does anyone had this kind of experience ? On 4/2, will they take my interview or ask me to leave the USCIS office stating that a new date will be set soon ?

Not sure if it matters, but I live in Atlanta

N 400
Hello, everyone I strongly encourage everyone who is going to apply N 400, should file online,(which I did) it's not guaranty but shows from many cases , it will take a lot faster ( faster then paper filed) to schedule interviews, I maybe wrong but this is my experience:

Applied N 400. 11 /20/ 2018
Finger print 12 /18/ 2019
Interview schedule. 03 / 01/2019
Interview date. 04 /01 /2019
Good luck to me and I will post how did it go and question are asked. In my District estimated wait time is 15 22 month but I got in 3 month. I also discovered from USCIS wesite about N 400 , it says Name check by FBI must be completed in order to schedule a interview, so sometimes it's
not USCIS, maybe your name check by FBI. If name check dose not go through AI, FBI will have to do name check by manual which will take even longer.
