N400 application - Holtsville, NY
Hi all,

Just wanted to share my own timeline since the forum and posts from very kind people did help calm my nerve during the process.

I applied online and was directed to the Holstville, LI, NY field office. My interview was just today, It was quick, it was painless, the IO was courteous albeit he looked overworked. I'm sure it's a lot of hard work in that office.

My case was very simple: Employment based, not married, no children, no arrest. The previous year I had applied for the Trusted Traveler Program (aka Global Entry, a US Customs program for rapid entry through airports) where they do an extensive criminal and financial background check. Not sure if the IO has access to it or not but tonight I checked online and to my surprise my case was already updated and I was scheduled for the oath ceremony.

Below is the timeline, from 10/09/2018 to today 03/21/2019. I'll update soon with the date for the oath ceremony ... I wish everyone good luck, I'm sure your turn is next

Finally a US Citizen!
I am a Baltimore filer and finally after almost 20 months since my PD, I have become a US Citizen! For all you guys who are on the same boat as I was, here's my timeline:
PD: July 22, 2017
Interview: 15th August, 2018 - Decision cannot be made
Scheduled for oath: February 27, 2019 - More than 6 months after the interview
Oath - March 13th, 2019

I had written to the senator's office just before the government shutdown and 1-2 days after the government reopened, I got call from the senators office saying that they will inquire about my case. After the inquiry (2-3 days later), the senator's office responded again saying that according to USCIS, my case is still under normal processing time and no further action is required form my side at present. They said if the status doesn't change even after another month, they'll inquire again. I did one info pass - first week of February, 2019 but that was of no significant help. They just told me that my case is being processed rapidly and no further action is required. Then finally on Feb 27, 2019 my oath was scheduled for 13th march, 2019.

For all those who are waiting, I hope my case progress status provides some consolation. Best of luck all!

GC for Mother outside US
Hello All,

I have couple of questions regarding filing I-130 petition for my mother.
My brother is US citizen what documents do he need to submit with I-130 besides US passport and birth certificate? Are we required to submit Affidavit of Support form I 864 with petition or just form I 130, petitioner passport and birth certificate? If anyone know what are the other documents we need to send with petition it will be great help and I will appreciate that. Thanks

Processing Time
Can someone clarify this for me?
I submitted my n400 case through the Phoenix service center, but my field office is in San Diego. When checking on USCIS website whether I’m outside normal processing time, do I check for San Diego or Phoenix? Thank you for your help.
