N400 Naturalization
Hello Everyone,
I have been following this thread past few days and looks like every other potential Citizen is in the same boat as me. I am posting my timeline and experience below to give my bid to this thread.

Application Timeline:

Interview Date: 03/11/2019
We scheduled your interview: 02/04/2019
We reviewed your biometrics: 09/28/2018
Biometrics Date: 09/28/2018
We scheduled your biometrics apt: 09/08/2018
We received your application: 09/01/2018

Interview Experience: Officer was quite jolly. He first asked me my full name, SSN and address. Then he asked me all application question line-by-line along with my past employers and current employer info in detail. He asked me since when I am living at my current address as well. On question, “Have you ever been arrested?” I replied NO and he looked at me, smiled, and asked me gently that you didn’t even get speeding ticket yet? I smiled back and replied, “Yes of course Sir”. He then asked “Do you mind if I asked you to explain me how you got speeding ticket?” I explained him the entire situation and he replied, “Thank you for the detailed clarification on this.”
He asked me to look into the tab, which affixed to the table and asked me to verify my details, and once I verified the details he asked me to sign it. Upon completion of that part, he looked at me, smiled the same way, and said, “Let’s check your civic knowledge.” He asked me very simple questions 1) What is the economy system in US 2) Who is the President of US 3) If President can no longer serve who becomes the President and 4) Which ocean is on the East Coast of US. I gave all answers correct and he again asked me to look into the tab and asked me to read the question loudly that popped up on tab screen. The question was “When is the Columbus Day?” I read it loudly and he asked me to write down the answer of this question into the tab as “The Columbus Day is in October”. After couple of minutes, he stood up and said that you passed the interview but I am not giving my decision yet since I have to look into your application again. We will notify you through mail if your application approved or if we need you to come back for another round of interview. I replied “sure and thank you.” Interview was completed.
While I am writing this post, my case status is still shows as “We scheduled your interview” and hasn’t changed at all. Through this thread, I figured that almost every other applicant here has same situation, irrelevant of field office or city/state. I hope and pray I get approval sooner than later. That is same for everyone here who is sailing the same boat. Wish you all Good Luck.

Chicago- My journey
Hello Everyone,

Thank you all for sharing your experiences. It's time to give back now.
This website and all the experiences mentioned here have helped me find my answers and I believe it is my duty to share my experience as I complete the journey to citizenship. Here's my timeline at the field office in Chicago:

March 13,2019 Naturalization ceremony completed
February 20,2019 We scheduled your naturalization ceremony
February 14,2019 We approved your application
February 14,2019 You attended your interview
January 7,2019 We scheduled your interview
August 21,2018 We reviewed your biometrics
August 4,2018 We scheduled your biometrics appointment
July 30,2018 We received your application

The interview experience- It was pretty simple, going through the application as a whole verbally and answering the first 6 questions right. No extra questions asked and no extra documents asked for (other than those on the interview letter). They really try and make you as comfortable as you can be and give you enough time to answer all the questions.
Also, if you plan on taking anyone with you to the interview (friends, relatives, kids) they are very open about it. I am not sure if the kids are allowed in the officer's room while you are being interviewed cause i did not take my daughter with me that day but i did see others bring in their families. Also, mobile phones and bags are allowed in the waiting area. (I didn't carry mine cause i was not sure but everyone there was freely using it.)

The Oath Experience- Once in a lifetime experience! It took about an hour to complete. I took my daughter with me this time :) A boring experience for her but at least she was there with me when it all happened :).

Wishing you all Good Luck!

How to get InfoPass for New York City?
I has the Citizenship Interview on Jan. 10, 2019. The interviewer said he didn't have my file, so I have to wait. Nothing I need to do. He said I would get Oath letter by March.

Now it is March 13, and I have not received any notice from USCIS by mail. My online account Document Tab also shows no notice, and my current status is:

**** ***
January 10, 2019

We transferred your application to another USCIS field office for review
You do not need to do anything at this time
View your letter on your documents tab for an explanation on why we transferred your application.
**** ****

There is no new document in the Document tab, the last document is:
**** **** *
Interview Scheduled
Sent on December 3, 2018
**** **** *

Then I sent a message from my online account to USCIS, ask what's going on. They replied, and said according to their system, I interviewed on Feb. 1, 2019, and on February 01, 2019., USCIS issued me a Notice of Continuance. My case is currently in suspense or on hold until they receive my response.

I have NEVER got a single notice from them!!!!! And I didn't interview on Feb. 1, but on Jan. 10!! I am even more desperate when I visited the USCIS website and they said NYC office no longer accept InfoPass appointment. I called the 800-375-5283 number, and waited hours online and never got any human being pick up the call.

What should I do? Please help...!! Many Thanks!!

Infopass tips
Hi everyone,

My case has been pending for over 5 months now after my interview. Well, I contacted my congressman one week ago but no answer so far. I also scheduled an infopass for this upcoming Tuesday, and I have so many questions about what an infopass can give me as an outcome. Is it solely for the sake of me getting information about my case or can I actually provide them with information in order to expedite it?
Any advices on how to get the best outcome with this infopass?

Interesting New York Times Article from last month
Hello

An interesting article I found from February 2019. Obviously this does not mean this would happen to us, but it paves some realities.

submitted time vs. PD date
Hello everyone. I was eligible to submit my application on DEC 7th. so I submitted my application online on early hours of DEC 7th. Now my priority and received date shows DEC 6th on my application but when I check my online account, submitted date is DEC 7th. I was reading somewhere that a person's application got denied after he went to his interview. he was told that he submitted his application one day early. so now I am worried. ( I know I could wait for couple days before send my application, but I was going to a trip and I did't have any other choice). any advice or suggestion? Thanks in advance.
