Oakland Park Oath Notice
We finally received our oath notices. I posted before about the experience during the interview. Bottom line, my wife and I both got the "can't make a decision" answer. Hers was because her file was missing my approved I-140 from the original green card, and the officer told her that she could get it from my file right away, but since I wasn't getting my approval on that same day, she was going to get it later.

So my application got approved a few days later but my wife's didn't get approved. We decided to get an infopass and talk to someone. We got lucky that there were appointment available after checking constantly for a few days. The officer told us there is nothing he could do until after 120 days from the interview. We kept insisting for any help he could give us and finally he suggested that we ask for a supervisor at the front desk. We did.

The supervisor was very nice and understood our situation. He took our papers and said he would talk to the original officer who interviewed my wife. The next day my wife got a call from the same supervisor saying it was all approved and that he was going to get her into my same ceremony. I was very impressed by the follow up.

So just about 10 more days to go and we are going to be all done! Hang in there for all of you, your time is getting closer and closer.

Explanation letter about selective service
Hi everyone,
Today was my interview in Federal pl, Ny. I passed the test and went through the application form. At the end the IO said The selective service letter wasn't enough I need a letter explaining why I didn't sign up. I said I never knew when I first arrived in US.
Did anyone else have to provide such a letter?
Will highly appreciate any advice.

Thank you

Oath Scheduling with last name change
Hey, guys!

After much stress my n400 application finally got approved in the end of October (Philadelphia office). I requested to change my last name to my husband's. Did anyone have experience with that and do you know how long that would take for them to schedule an Oath Ceremony.

Funny thing - I actually have a direct office number of my interviewing IO (he called me to make sure I sent extra documents) - I am not really sure if I should call him to ask anything else as I am just afraid he will reverse his decision. But let me know what you guys think. Maybe I should....

Hi,

My timeline

Sept 19th 2017 - Case submitted
Sept 22nd 2017 - Case received (online status)
Dec 22nd 2017 - In line for interview (online status)
August 2018 - Interview scheduled
Sept 5th 2019 - Interview date
---- RFE was requested as part of the interview---
Oct 17th 2019 - Oath ceremony will be scheduled

I am right now out of the country and have provided my lawyer's address as communication address (since the beginning of the application). I have been asked my lawyers to check their mailbox but still they haven't received the notice (today is Nov 5th). There is no name change as part of the process

My questions are
1. How soon will you get your interview notice after the online status say "Oath is scheduled"
2. Do I still have a chance that my interview will be scheduled in Nov (Need to book tickets if I have to come back in)
3. Do I have a good chance it will be in December given the fact that I haven't received the letter yet?

Thanks guys in advance. You guys are really awesome in keeping this thread so hopeful for other aspirants.
