Chicago it's happening
Hello Everyone,
My journey went as follow

PD November 10th 2017
PF December 1st 2017
June 27th 2018 We Scheduled your interview
August 9th 2018 Interview date. The officer during the interview did not approve me on the spot.
August 21th 2018 We approved your application
August 13th 2018 We have scheduled your Oath Ceremony
August 27th 2018 is the ceremony date...

I got my Green Card through asylum. I was granted Asylum in 2012, by the time I got my GC it was 02/2014, so I counted 4 years from that date to apply, the officer during the interview said I am not qualified for the citizenship since my GC says residency since 2014, but I explained that per the immigration law that is listed on USCIS.gov I am eligible for the citizenship because when granted the GC they were supposed to backdate the residency a year back. But I got approved, so I guess I am right about this, also the asked for my tax return and from reading there is a lot of people who were asked to provide a tax return, and that prompts me to bring them with me and saved me time for sure. My advice to anyone going for the interview just bring your Tax return.
Goodluck everyone I hope the Chicago filers can benefit from my experience.

Salam
Hello everyone,

I need your help and advice; I started my N-400 application since January 2018.

Bio-metric was done in February 14th

Interview was scheduled for June 6th, 2018.

In May 30th I received a letter from USCIS stating that my interview was De-Schedule for unforeseen circumstances and they will reschedule my interview again but it's been almost more than 60 days since I heard from them. I talked to my lawyer but he told me to remain patient. I even asked him to schedule an info pass but he said that won't have no effect in my case.

Is it normal to wait that long? What can I do to make this case move faster? Should I change lawyer?

Thank you very much!

March 2017 Dallas,TX filer - Interview done today
hi All,
I would like put my Naturalization interview exp here.
Applied on March 10th,2017
Bio metrics - April 12th,2017.
June 11th,2018 - Got interview notice for July 3rd,2018 - Had India trip, requested to change of interview date.
Date changed mine to Aug 16th, which is today, my spouse stayed more time in India, so she got second bio metrics again.
My experience today was very nice. Took total of 50 minutes including waiting, inside room with Immigration officer was around 15 min - she tested English read and write test - Mexico is south of United States then asked 5-6 q's
1) who is part of Goverment
2) what does President cabinet do?
3) if president and vice present not available then who can become president
4) how many years we select US senator
5) What does declaration Independence commit did?
I think she asked only 5, if anything wrong, she might have asked 1 or 2 more i heard, but she stopped there and told me " you passed test"
After that regular q's about job, india travel, any crime related activities involved, read bunch y/n q's and gave a paper with "Congratulations, recommended for Approval of Citizenship" , she said may take 2 to 4 weeks , i should here stay put, also said congrats for your wife interview. Immigration officers were very cool. Hope this info helps i guys, i got lot of info from this forum, ask questions..
