Just contributing...
Just wanted to share and contribute. I am applying from Queens, NY.

All, if you're waiting for notices via mail, register for an account here https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/
If you need a one time access code, call the NSC support number and tell them you need one. Even if you filed your application by mail, they will
provide you with a code after you answer correctly all the security questions. I file my n400 6/20/2016 and just yesterday got my access code by calling them.
You can view all notices in PDF on this site. Wished i had done sooner because i missed my interview date because they sent the notice to an incomplete address
(missing apt number). I did infopass to reschedule and waited for 2 months but still nothing. Then I got my local congressman involved by visiting their office (advised by attorney) and 6 weeks later, i got the reschedule fr 9/5/2017.

My journey is over
Hello All-

Finally I am done with the naturalization process. It was processed from NC state. Here is my experience in brief.
Application submitted: First week of Jan 2017
Finger Prints done: First week of Feb 2017
Interview done: 2nd Aug 2017
Oath: 3rd Aug 2017

Interview:
-------------
Minor mistakes in the N 400 don't actually matter. I had made three mistakes - first, I forgot to mention my unofficial nick name in the form; second I had made typo error in the travel dates; third I forgot to write my name in N 400 where it asks to write down name as it appears in Green Card. The mistakes were not even discussed during the interview. The interviewer asked me six questions at the very beginning- first was what is the name of national anthem; second which Ocean is on the West Coast; third what does the 13 stripes in the flag represent; fourth Name one of the house of representatives from NC state and two more (I forgot). I passed all of them and she did not asked any more. Then she went through my application and asked many questions from the application. That was pretty easy since I was the one who prepared the application. So no problem in that at all. It lasted about 20 mins. She approved my application and asked me to wait in the waiting room. After 10 mins of waiting, a gentle man came handed over me a slip saying they have scheduled an Oath on 3rd Aug. That was pretty quick :)
Today on 3rd Aug there were more than 100 people from 36 countries to take Oath. 17 folks from India alone. ;) The Oath ceremony lasted about 2 hours. We were handed over the citizen certificate.

Finally in about seven months this journey is over.
I wish good luck to all.

I started my naturalization process this March and I am just one step away from becoming a proud US citizen.
I passed my interview last week and today my online case status says that they have placed me in line for my Oath Ceremony. It has been a long process but almost THERE.

My journey almost finished
Guys first i wanted to thank you all for sharing your experiences here, this website really helped me too much,i waited too long, almost a year since I applied.
Here is my timeline:

FP was done:09/20/2016

After that long wait wait and wait for 10 mounths With out any chamge in my status
Then my online status changed to interview scheduled on june 27/2017
Interview: 08/01/2017(almost a year after i filed n-400)

I passed interview yesterday and recommended for aproval:)
15 minutes after i left office my online status changed to oath ceremony scheduled and was mail to you,i got so so happy could not believe after long waiting this happened to me very soon.

About interview, my officer was very nice man and interview went smooth ,he asked me to write LINCOLN WAS PRESIDENT DURING THE CIVIL WAR,then asked me to read one sentece WHO WAS ABRAHAM LINCOLN?
Then 6 civics questions all included in 100 questions then he went through n-400 and reviewed form with me,it took 20 minutes and at end he passed me and recommended me for approval,he said if i be lucky i can take oath ceremony on Aug 22 but he can not granted because slots should be available and surprisingly 15 minutes after i left his office my status changet to oath was scheduled.
I am so happy after long wait and too much stress which my life was upside down and all my plans were on hold finally this journey is going to finish.
I wish all of you best and thank you all for helping me with your experiences, just be patient, all of you will reach the end and It pays off all your efforts, and it worths.
God bless you and god bless America.
