Almost one year to get my citizen !
I Promised myself once it’s all set and done. I will share my crazy story!
My journey took me almost a year ! It was very stressful

I live in Alabama, I Filed my N400 application through Dallas Texas, My field office is Atlanat GA .
My timing :-

Applied - August 11th 2016
Finger Print – September 9th 2016
Status changed to in-line for interview - November 17 2016
Long wait
Long wait
Long wait
Long wait
Called level 2 officers once each month.

Interview was scheduled – April 26th 2017
Interview completed June 1st 2017 Atlanta GA

The interview went smooth and I passed it . It took me less than 10 mins .
I was told it will take two to three weeks to receive my oath letter and nothing to worry about since I wasn’t changing my name .

After a month july 6th I did call level 2 officer , I asked him two questions .

1- why it takes so long ?
2-do you guys schedule people in order (first come first serve) ? .

He replied that they are trying to find a time to schedule my oath. And yes they do it in order because there is no such a thing call different cases at this point . Meaning if you filed for N400 some cases takes longer than other cause (marrying, asylum, and serving etc…) “every case is different”.
I personally know people from Alabama who did apply after me, and their interview was same time frame like mine, beginning of June. They were scheduled already and got their oath few weeks after their interview .

July 14th I did an info pass (Montgomery Alabama ). I did explained to them my situation. They told me all files must transfer to Alabama now and it may takes me up to 125 days !!
I wasn’t happy with their feedback. I brought the fact that some people I know who had their interview in Atlanta and got their oath already. The director himself came and spoke to me and admit it that I should have my oath already and what happened was wrong . he promised me to have my file in Montgomery and get my oath as soon as it gets here.

July 25- I called level 2 to track my file . My file has been in Montgomery since July 21st .
August 1st , 2017 I did an info pass and was prepare for reason they will come up with. They told me we will let you have your oath today if you are free !

I had my oath by myself . It was very emotional moment. All that had work paid off. Finally I am proud of being an American after 12 years living in this nation!

My advice- Keep tracking your case from time to time, they could make mistake or someone don’t do their job right, and your paper stuck for no reason.
God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.

DC office N-400
I want to share again about my experience in the DC office.
I had my interview on Jun 19th which was recommended for approval.
On July 17th the status changed to "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled".
I created an InfoPass and I had it today 08/01/17. The officer told me that DC ceremony is once a month due to it is held at the Court house, He mentioned that I had to be patient, but I need to get my certificate ASAP in order to apply for my passport.

Does anyone else have any experience in the DC office?

Civics Questions
If you already had an interview, could anyone help me out with the Civics questions please? Could you tell me what were your 6 Civics questions asked by the officer during your interview?

I'm worried for my mom (she's 66 years old), she will have an interview in 3 weeks. She could only speak and understand basic English and it will be really hard for her to study and remember all of those 100 questions so I would like to ask which 6 questions they asked you during your interview please?

Thank you, we will be greatly appreciate your help! :)

Good morning to all of the people who are waiting to be naturalized. Here are my experiences.
I have been GC holder more than 12 years and married to us citizen. i applied based on GC eligibility.

NBC processing center mailed

PD 01/06/2017

FP 02/09/2017

Case status changed to testing and interview on 02/16/2017 you will hear from us when we schedule interview.

Case status changed to we scheduled interview fo you. We will mail you. (online) 06/12/2017
After 6 days i received the letter but there was no change online regarding that they have mailed me a letter.

Interview Date 07/19/2017
Passed the interview and got the oath letter for the same day at 3 pm.

Unfortunately as i was waiting for 3 pm and getting ready passport photos etc. around 10.30 am they call me and tell me my birth certificate is not in file and i need to get it. If i can not get them within 1 hour i can forget about oath ceremony today.
Of course i was very disappointed. I made a copy of birh id etc and translated, notarized and went there. They tell me they need the one that i have during birth, not the birth id i have.
They give me a letter stating for this RFE.and the same night my status is updated on website.

Very upset i leave but make appointment on the consulate for Friday. Got the translated birth certificate and mail it in.
No response and wait for an update on the website. Immediately i schedule first available appointment for that office.

i make appointment for today to go to talk about my status.. I explain my situation how i got my oath letter and could not swear in for a document that i was not even aware of but i provided to them last monday and if possible i would like to finish up this process today as i have been waiting almost 7 months.

She was very helpful and finds the document i have sent them in my file and gives me the oath letter for today.

i am hoping not to receive another phone call from them until 3 pm :)

Good luck to everyone.

Feedback
Hi all,
So I sent my paperwork to Arizona to start the process. I see my credit card has already been debited. Does anyone know how long it takes to start getting notifications or email on paperwork? As it is I haven't even received anything stating they have received my paperwork. The only thing that makes me know this is the amount debited from my credit card. Is this a normal occurrence or is this an isolated situation?
