My experience so far- Long Island NY
Hi all,

This has been a really great forum as I do this process. Thank you. This has been my experience:
2/27/2017-They received my application
03/6/2017-Scheduled my biometrics
03/20/2017-Had my biometrics done
03/23/2017-Website now says Case Is In Line For An Interview- 'We've started the scheduling interview process'

That seems fast compared to other posts? About how long before I get a letter in the mail with a date?

I am FINALLY going to become a US Citizen tomorrow. My process took a year and a month. I am becoming a citizen exactly one year after i did my biometrics.

If you feel like your case is taking a long time, I say it's normal for some cases to take longer than others. I am still not sure ( and i dont think i will ever know) why mine took so long but i am glad it will finally be over.

Wishing good luck to all of you!!

PS: I live in San Diego County. I have been a US Permanent Resident since 1999.

N-400 After interview
I filed on 7/19/16
finger prints/ August 2016
interview March 2017, recommended for approval.

Sorry for the mistake. My interview was exhausting. The guy asked a lot of questions about my old country than about USA. I prepared so much but not for questions about the country I left, its economy and communist party there. I said I do not know for I've been in the USA for 10 years now and I'm not involved with the politics there. I just visited family for two weeks. That's all.

I would appreciate if somebody can explain to me what is the quickest way to get the passport for me and my kids who were born outside USA and under 12 years, after I become a US Citizen.

Good luck to All.

N-400 Had my interview, few questions
Filed in 7/19/17
fingerprints August 2017
Interview: March 2017

Does anybody know :

1. When is the earliest time I can apply for US Passport? I need to visit my elderly parents.
2. How much time does it take?
3. Do my minor kids( 12 and under ) who are not citizens can apply for passport? How much does it take to get their US passport as kids of American parents?

Thanks for sharing.
Patience pays off.

Houston File office
PD: 11/20/2016
FP done by 12/29/2106

Since then, NOTHING, NOT even case status changes to "case in line for interview"

I have a travel plan in June since I am graduating in May, I get super worried about Houston's office's efficiency.

Anyone in Houston has the same experiences? Please share. Or it would be useful to file a compliant to Ted Cruz!
