LOS ANGELES - DECISION CANNOT BE MADE
Hi everyone, I am new here. I just have some concerns about my Interviewed last week. I just passed my citizenship test last week everything was fine. After the interview she handled me this paper saying:
A)you passed the tests of English .....

B) A decision cannot yet be made about your application.

I asked the IO, about the decision cannot be made and she told me that everything is OK just wait for the letter to arrive within 30-190 days. I remember when the time she called my name she said that she was just there to do the interview and it will only take 15 minutes, then that's it. After the basic questions about the history she gave me the paper to sign for changing name since, I told her that I want to change my last name.

I really feel disappointed. Is there any number that I can contact them to know if there is something wrong about my application or if they need some documentations from me?

Please help me out if know anything about this kind of situation.

Anyway, my status online is still the same, saying that they sent me a letter about my interview. Nothing has changed.

Thank you.

Naturalization Process
We are same-sex couple who is in the process of applying for Naturalization process. I got my resident on 25th May 2014 which means I will be eligible to apply for naturalization 90 days before 25th May 2017. So when I send my application for naturalization in between that 90 days window period, do they start reviewing my application or do they review only after 25th May 2017?

Any help or information about this process would be great.

Oakland Park Timeline
Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there was anyone else that has gone through the Oakland Park field office in Florida that could share a timeline of their experience? On January 30th my status changed to "case in line for interview" and I applied in December, so I think so far the process is going well.
Still, I would really appreciate to hear back from others who applied before me just so I can see what the average pace of that office is. Thank you!

NBC **** (Chicago field Office)
NBC*** )(Chicago Field Office) Here is my timeline:

09-01-2016: N-400 Priority Date
10-05-2016: Biometrics completed.
2-3-2017:Got to L2 officer through phone. He said that my case in the line for interview. My online status however still shows fingerprint appointment info. Not sure who to believe?
Is it necessary step to show "my case inline for interview" before the status changes to "interview scheduled".
Also my wife's case has the same timeline for submission and fingerprinting, however her interview date has already been announced (3/4/2017).

Comments/thoughts??

Washington DC oath ceremony
Update to my husband's case. As I wrote earlier he had his citizenship test and passed on December 21, 2016. Because we live in Washington, DC, he has to take the oath at a courthouse in DC where it's only administered on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

After the test his online USCIS account was soon updated to show he had passed and said the "Oath has been scheduled and a letter will be mailed" but no date was given. We waited a few weeks and as some on this board suggested we checked
https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

You enter your receipt number and it gives your case status. This site said his letter had been mailed so he called the customer service number. The first time he could not get additional information, but on January 23 it said that a letter had been mailed that day. It finally arrived on January 30 and his oath is scheduled for February 14!

So from his test date of Dec 21 to mailing of the oath appointment letter took about 1 month. We tried to be patient knowing that Christmas week through Inauguration would probably slow things down in government offices.

If you haven't checked
https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do
try it as it does sometimes have more up to date information.
